Lovely location and a quirky loom and feel. Very clean and welcoming. There’s an amazing restaurant next door where we had the best meal of our trip

They don’t have twin rooms

Although the check-in was self made, the host made sure two days before the stay that we have all the details and it made everything so much easier. He also liked the toiletries, they smelled really well.

Difficult to rate as apart from it would be good to have a fridge in an albeit cosy space, cosy spaces are expected here & the place essentially would have been great. Staff helpfully provided a free parking areas map prior to arrival, & the property is on a pedestrian street in town with cool funky eateries/bars. We are fine with a bit of exterior ambient noise & it should have been ok …

In the room there is a note to operate the aircon during noon whilst out then turn it off at night with the doors closed to keep it cool. Arriving late afternoon we turned aircon on & it was very effective, cooling the room quickly before we left so turned it off. The aircon emitted a high pitched rattling noise when operating - we were no overly concerned by this as prefer not to use aircon unless absolutely necessary. We don’t like aircon headcolds. We do noticed earplugs provided. Returning just after midnight the bars/restaurants in the area still operating and the General ambient noise was fine - we don’t mind that. Albeit a hot day turning on the noisy aircon for 15 mins again cooled the room fine & leaving the juliet balcony 2 double door sets ajar for airflow slept fine. Until 3am. Basically a group of raucous inconsiderate people were on the street - at a kebab shop just down the street. It appears they also serve beer in large plastic cups. Everything else nearby was closed. The group stayed on adjacent stairs approx an hour. Was woken by another a bit later. Having to close the balcony doors properly resulted in a stiffling room and turning on the noisy aircon for 15 mins. This was Monday night prior to st Joan festival. I texted the property that the aircon emitted high pitched noise when operating - I recieved prompt reply they we’re not aware of it but we’re in the process of upgrading, & provided advice as per the note already in the room. Again we were not too concerned as rarely use air con & the 15 min bursts were working. St Joan festival night we expected the place to be loud. It was - but closing a 15 min aircon blast and closed balcony doors general ambient noise level manageable. But later the noise became less ambient/ more direct. Again all appeared closed except for the kebab & beer shop - which was being swarmed! The street cleaners did a great job at 7am!
