Domaine les Marronniers

First of all I'd like to praise the host. Christine is wonderful and a delight to be around. We were late arriving due to a border control failure, but Chistine waited up for us and even booked a table at Cafe Forges in the nearby town as we didn't reach the property until 8pm. We drove from the UK and there is plenty of parking on site. Domaine les Marronniers is rare in that it has (excellent) air conditioning which was indispensible in the recent heatwave. The grounds are beautiful and most nights we ate al fresco in the grounds with supplies from Intermarche. Including one evening during the solar eclipse. The location is good for exploring the local area, with most places driveable in under an hour. We visited the nearby Beauvron en Auge, Honfleur, Bayeux (sans tapestry..), Deauville and some of the WWII sites and museums. You do need a car, but as we were driving, this was a non-issue. Breakfast was excellent and I would happily recommend Domaine les Marronniers.

There was nothing I didn't like. I had a wonderful experience.

The most beautiful property in a quiet little town, felt like I was in a fairytale. Calm, relaxing, beautiful surroundings and views, cute animals that roam the grounds, breakfast was traditional French delicacy’s, and the host was so lovely, really made us feel welcome, felt like home from home. We will be back.

Breakfast was exceptional. No comments. Furthermore, the location is a little bit isolated but in the countryside which I felt awesome. Lastly, my room was great and well designed.

A small fridge could be added since there has not been a restaurant or a canteen near by.

We had two fabulous rooms, they had a lovely feel and just were quiet and comfortable. We sat in the garden and had a drink watching the lovely chickens! Christine was super helpful phoning round restaurants to get us a reservation. Breakfast was beautiful too, with lots of home made produce. Even on a dull day, there were great views from the table.
