A nice restful break for me in a quiet village friendly village
No breakfast supplied. Access could be a problem for anyone with mobility problems as access to the row of cottages was a narrow gap in the wall. Some difficulty in getting my luggage actually through the gap. Cottage itself was comfortable and clean and quite well equipped, bed was really comfortable and snug.
Bedside lights were 'iffy' as the bulbs seemed loose and light was not guaranteed when lamp was switched on. Rather annoying for the light to suddenly go out during darkness.

Lovely location, perfect for walks and exploring the Dales. Quite remote and a very tranquil area.
Nothing to dislike about the property, if I was being ultra picky, the toilet makes a loud noise when flushed, but I think this was due to water pressure along with the taps when turned on. It in no way spoiled our stay though.

The location is exceptional
The bed. we have never slept in a more wobbly, uncomfortable bed ever. We even cut our stay a day short because of it. The sofa was also very uncomfortable. There was no warmth in our welcome - no tea and biscuits as there is in other properties, just a pint of milk.

Cosy cottage
Lovely village location. Shop and pubs close by. Comfortable and cosy. Quiet ,away from main road with pleasant views over the old cemetery and fields. Clean and tidy with a good selection of local books and info and dvds for those quiet nights in .
Access was a little difficult through the church yard and couldn't park near till later that evening but to be fair that was due to a wedding at the church on Saturday afternoon. The locals thankfully directed us to access at the back which was much better for unloading the car. For us personally the shower wasn't ideal as it is a handheld one in the bath but we managed and it didn't spoil our holiday. The only other tiny niggle was we didn't know the garden area at the front was a public footpath but it was well kept and everyone passing was very pleasant and friendly.
