The Peak Residence

Lag aan de voet van Adam’s peak! Lieve gastvrouw.

We hiked Sri Pada from the Ratnapura side to the peak and down the Hatton side in one day... We were already exhausted when the guesthouse that we had previously booked called to say that they could not receive us! We were so so grateful that we could book Peak Residence at the last minute and arrive without any trouble despite the town-wide power outage. The hostess and pro business lady, Samanthi was so kind, friendly and gracious! She received us at eight thirty at night and showed us to the room by candle light! The room was extremely clean, comfortable, well-furnished, spacious and quite fancy, like a hotel - the most affordable hotel stay I have ever enjoyed! In the morning we got to indulge in an abundant, delicious Sri Lankan breakfast included in the price - wow! All of this very close to the end of the long trail, and it costed us six dollars less than we would have payed at another, further away spot!

The only thing the room needs is a rubber mat in the bathroom - the floor gets super slippery when wet!

Le bruit de l'extérieur, mais je pense que c'est pareil pour tous ceux qui résident dans cette zone, c'est calme la journée et le soir hyper bruyant jusqu'à au moins minuit.

De locatie is top als je Adam’s Peak wil beklimmen. Vriendelijke host, lekker ontbijt. Van de kamer hoef je niet te veel te verwachten, als het enkel is om te slapen, prima.

De kamer is echt basis. Verwacht niet veel.
