1229 - AWESOME CITY CENTER APARTMENT WITH TERRACE

Traveling as a small group of friends, we found this apartment to be a bit like Barcelona itself—charming, full of character, and in need of the occasional update. The location is unbeatable, putting the city’s best within strolling distance. Inside, the bones of a beautiful older home show through: classic tile, plenty of space, and even the bonus of a washer and dryer (a true luxury for travelers). Beds were fine—not cloud-like, but no complaints in the morning. The showers, however, deserve applause for water pressure that could probably rival a fire hydrant. All said, it’s a classic Barcelona stay—atmospheric and well-located. With a few updates, it could be every bit as impressive inside as the city is outside.

A few areas could use some attention. The WiFi was slow, which made staying connected more of a siesta than a sprint. The furniture and apartment feel ready for a refresh, and while the terrace looks good on paper, in practice it was too dark and walled-in to really enjoy a glass of wine. Also, the required check-in documents didn’t arrive until the morning of arrival—a nail-biter for anyone already on the road. Sending them a week in advance would go a long way.

la limpieza. La cocina en general y en especial los platos, cubiertos y tazas, aparte del horno estaban horriblemente sucios. Los cajones de abajo de la cama estaban llenos de polvo.
