Ground floor apartment lake view

Superb accommodation with very helpful yet discreet hosts and a lovely quiet location on the hillside above the lake. The house was very clean, comfortable, spacious and stylish and very well equipped including tea, coffee, milk, cheese, ham and other items in fridge. A lovely pool and garden area with plenty of shade and sunny aspects for sitting outside. Beautiful sunset views over lake in distance. In summer season there is a free shuttle bus from Albisano to Torri where there are boats on the lake and a bus service. We enjoyed boats on the lake, hillside walks from the house and a trip up Monte Baldo by cable car. A wonderful holiday and we hope to return.

Outstanding stay all round! Really helpful before arrival with directions to the property, and very understanding with us arriving in the middle of the night due to flight delays.The accommodation was fantastic, very spacious and equipped with more than anyone could need.Hosts were vey friendly and kindly left us food for the first morning, as well as all the basics. Lots of useful advice too.The pool was perfect, usually just us using it, and peaceful location overlooking the lake, with a free shuttle bus down to town from the end of the lane.

The apartment was clean, extremely comfortable and well equipped, and the family were very friendly and welcoming but not intrusive.Possibly the most comfortable we have rented (and there is plenty of storage available if needed) and therefore we didnt actually go very far afield contrary to our plans. It was exactly as described and the photos were a good representation. It might not be very suitable for a young child as there were lots of breakables and there is drop at the edge of the garden. Minor inconveniences perhaps-we had expected a CD player in the Hi Fi system and also the access to the apartment is very narrow so if you have a large car, manoeuvring is difficult (we had Peugeot 806). Directions to the apartment were very clear. We liked the location- away from the crowds though it is easy to get to the lakeside (by car) and there are great views from Albisano, which is a pretty village. The local pizzeria/restaurant is very good and friendly (and much cheaper than Torrei) and the Hotel Panorama (both in easy walking distance, so no worries about wine intake with meal) has a good restaurant with a fantastic panoramic view over the lake from its terrace.The little local shop though with limited supplies was actually cheaper than the large Auchan near Verona. Getting around is quite slow as even in September there was a lot of traffic but the driving was not aggressive.Torrei del Banaco is classier than Garda and there were a couple of jazz / swingbands playing along the waterside on the Sunday evening for no charge which made for a pleasant environment to eat. Local people were all very friendly, though unfortunately so were the mosquitos! If we returned to Lake Garda we would probaly go back to Albisano as we preferred it to Garda,and would certainly recommend the apartment, which represents good value for money. Paola, David and Giacomo are very pleasant to deal with and we had no issues whatsoever.
