Perfect stay

Our special thanks to the super pleasant and friendly hostess Alessandra! All three rooms we occupied were spacious, clean, beautifully renovated, with modern furnishings, comfortable beds and good shower/bathroom. The delicious sweet and savory freshly made breakfast, with great choice of tasty local food. Alessandra gave good tips for visiting Palazzo Te and Mantua, which is a beautiful city.

I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone planning to visit Modena.

Excellent host. She provided lots of useful information upon arrival. The accommodation is exceptional, beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, prepared with care and very tasty. It is in a quiet zone, out of the center, but you can easily reach it with car in 7-9 minutes.

Lovely B&B

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was different every morning and always delicious, especially the homemade peach jam. Very helpful and knowledgeable host, who speaks multiple languages. Lovely stay. Grazie Mille.

Nice stay not far from town, but with a water issue

Room was spacious. Bathroom was nice, with walk-in shower. Everything was clean and shampoo and soap provided. Beautiful homemade breakfast, with nice variety of sweet and savory items. Good coffee. Alessandr is very welcoming and gave us great recommendations.

The water has a definite sulfur smell, that upset me when I washed up. I am sensitive to off-smells, and found the odor hard to take. When showering in the morning, it didn't seem quite so strong. Because this is an issue there, there should be free bottles of water for the guests. If the odor wasn't so apparent, I would have rated it much higher

A comfortable stay with very friendly hosts.

The hostess was very friendly. She helped us enormously with good advices about the city and the public transport. She prepared a delicious breakfast. The room was nice and comfortable. So a great stay for a visit to the beautiful city of Matua.

Excellent, I very much enjoyed my stay at Zucchero sui Baffi.

The breakfast at Zucchero sui Baffi is exceptional. Every morning you wake up to a lovely array of homemade foods already on your table and you are welcome to eat as much or as little as you want. There are always an array of cakes on offer, with a lovely selection of fruit, yoghurt and savoury dishes. The rooms are also amazing; they're very spacious and exceptionally clean. The hostess is lovely and cannot do enough for you while you're staying with her. During my stay, she delivered a bottle of water to my room for me every evening when I returned from work and helped me to organise taxis as I am unable to speak Italian.

The only draw back of the property is the location. It is a little tricky to get to if you don't have a car. There is a regular bus service, but unfortunately my trip coincided with a national holiday so the buses weren't running. This is something to bare in mind before booking if you don't have a car. However, I must say that for the amount of money you save on the B&B in comparison to properties closer to the centre, it's well worth spending a bit of extra money getting taxis into the centre to stay at this property.

It is a nice house, full of beautiful details with the best breakfasts ever. Rooms are nicely designed and clean. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The location is outside the city, but there is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel with departures every hour. With own car everything is perfect.

French toast che ancora mi sogno

Ero l'unica ospite della struttura la notte che ho soggiornato presso questo b&b che mi è parso nuovo, tenuto benissimo, arredato con gusto e confortevole. Ho dormito molto molto bene. La colazione è stata strepitosa, abbondante, varia, molto gustosa e ho potuto portar via ciò che non sono riuscita a mangiare (sono sempre pro doggy-bag). Alessandra è stata generosa di premure, accoglienza, cibo :D e mi ha dato delle dritte in base ai miei desideri ed esigenze sul resto della mia permanenza a Mantova. Consiglierei assolutamente il soggiorno presso questo b&b dal nome simpaticissimo!

Ero sola e non ho avuto alcun problema ma leggendo che qualche ospite lamentava la mancanza di insonorizzazione delle stanze, mi ero preventivamente portata dei tappi per le orecchie che risolvono in maniera facile e veloce questo eventuale difetto.

Ambiente silenzioso, a pochi minuti di auto dal centro. La proprietaria è stata molto gentile e disponile. Camera minimal ma con dettagli attenti nell'arredo, pulita e ordinata Bagno fornito di asciugami e phone per capelli. Colazione molto curata, tutto fatto in casa dallo yogurt, ai dolci e alla marmellata. Non la solita colazione degli hotel.

Camera e bagno ampi. Ottima colazione. Edificio appena ristrutturato quindi ben isolato dai rumori. C'è il parcheggio interno.

La host ci ha riferito dopo che il forte odore (simile a muffa e zolfo) percepito in camera è dovuto all'impianto idraulico di quella zona. Potrebbe essere utile aggiungere pensili nel bagno, in particolare nella doccia.
