About this cottage rental

Beautifully converted cart house within the National Parks recently renovated to a high standard. Stunning sea and mountain views The Cart house is a walkers dream. Well behaved dogs are welcome. A charge of £25 per dog per week. Please contact the owner if you would like to bring more than one dog. Large garden and parking for 2 cars. Plenty of storage for boats and bikes. 3 lovely beaches within easy walking distance of the property. The Carthouse is well equiped and very clean

My husband and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary here and couldn’t have been happier. This is a beautifully restored and updated stone cottage in a truly stunning setting, on a lovely farm with views of the sea and the hills. It was a perfect location to explore the Pembrokeshire coastal path and visit St David’s. The hosts’ recommendations for eating out were great and the cottage had everything necessary to cook in as well. Finally, a highlight was being visited by their wonderfully polite farm dog and being greeted by their alpacas! We whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone.

Such a lovely relaxing and quiet place to stay. The Carthouse is very well equipped with everything you need. It is very cosy and so comfortable. It is furnished to a very high standard. The Alpacas at the end of the garden are a joy and Charlie the dog is so friendly. Lovely to sit in the garden on the bench watching all the birds too. Visited Newport Sands nearby which was lovely beach.

Very good communication prior to stay- very accurate directions and we found the Cart House very easily. Lovely welcome from owner, plus Charli, the dog. Really appreciated the welcome gifts and the card. Lovely touch. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed plus much more. Very comfortable bed. Fantastic views, peaceful. This was our second stay at the Carthouse and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The accomodation is ideal, with lots of space and room to relax, especially after long walks! The wine and chocolate was a lovely touch. Hope to return again!

I am so pleased to have stumbled across this property in my search. The area is so totally unspoilt. Travelling around was down with great ease. Once the clouds lifted it was just an idyllic place to be. Sea view. Country view. Absolutely faultless. Thankyou to Martha and Mark too. We were left in peace but knew how to contact in an emergency. Hand written notes too for the vital things. A good personal touch from all angles. Highly recommended. Fabulous beyond words really.

The mornings were absolutely beautiful to see from the large front windows. Wild & domestic life (rabbits, so many birds, alpacas, horses, a pony, & a positively awesome dog) were very welcome, & all served to make the experience perfect. The host-provided a book of annotated walking trail printouts which fueled our days. Evenings were cozy in the upstairs with the provided furniture, blankets, & pillows. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, the welcome was very nice & the afforded privacy was top-notch. Can't wait to come back =)

Perfect cottage for 2. Had all we could need and was warm and cosy. Upside down so living area upstairs. Our dogs were cosy on their beds down in the kitchen in the evenings. Very clean. Good garden and very peaceful.

Unclean location to sea untrue host unhelpful and wouldn't reply when trying to contact her she left a card saying any problems go up to the house when she was actually in Italy was spoken to by host's sister disgusting her husband kept apologising for her place was cold as gas cannister had ran out grass outside was really long worst holiday experience we have ever had. And i can't believe you as a company are asking us to rate it when you knew we came home after a day and had our money back

We stayed 4 nights in this very nice cottage and explored the Pembrokeshire Coast! Nice hikes directly from the cottage possible. The Cottage is well equipped and we didn‘t miss anything. More than enough space for 2 adults, all functional and with love to details. Garden with Alpakas nearby was great, Charly the dog of the owners a funny and well educated one. My partner and I had a lovely week at this stunning cottage. Extremely peaceful, well equipped and clean. Martha and Charlie the dog greeted us upon arrival with a lovely welcome, chocs and wine. Although the cottage is on their farm yard property we didn’t know they were there at all!! We had three beautiful lamas at the end of the garden that our dog Pippa loved to watch as did we 😁.the views of the mountains and the sea are stunning. We visited the local pub ( masons arms) and the landlord was very friendly. The fish and chips next door this pub are delicious. We managed to visit 5 different beaches and walked Dina’s head circular walk all the way to Newport and back, breathtaking views , we did a boat trip and saw lots of seals and their pups, porpoise and seabirds. Pembrokeshire castle, Carew castle.st David’s Whitesands beach. We will definitely revisit!! Dog friendly, peaceful,beautiful. Thank you very much . Martha and Marc have created a wonderful cottage with a detailed loving decor. We had everything, we needed and felt very comfortable. As the weather was so good, we used the most time for hiking at the coast path, where you always have a new beautiful view on the sea and the coast. The evenings we spent in our cosy cottage and had a very relaxing week at Dinahs Cross.

We had an excellent stay at the Cart House Cottage. It’s very clean and has all the amenities. We had a nice welcome with wine and chocolate, a friendly dog and lamas. The location is perfect to explore the Pembrokshire Coastal Trail. Technically, there is an ocean view but unfortunately the large shed blocks most of it. The information about to help us explore the region was thorough and much appreciated. We recommend the Cart House.

The house far exceeded our expectations, it’s warm, comfortable and very well equipped. The location is amazing, the house itself has spectacular views of the hills and surrounding area. There are plenty walks and places to visit locally, whether by car or foot. Martha is an excellent host and Charlie the dog is very playful and welcoming too. We would definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to our family.

Firstly, the views are breathtaking, mountains to one side, sea to the other and the immediate location has llamas, horses, lovely Charlie dog, and a fair few bunnies. The cottage itself is beautiful, lovely colourful artwork, well fitted out kitchen, super cosy lounge upstairs and lovely comfy bed. Martha and Mark have provided you everything you could need, including in depth guidance for local walks, and recommendations for food places.

Very quiet location, private and safe from disturbance. Excellent views of the surrounding hills and views of the coast line. With footpaths right outside the door leading into the hills with footpaths in abundance to explore around the coastal path and areas of interest, a walkers paradise. We shall return!

Nice place to stay for a week with a lot of opportunities for hiking and cycling. Be prepared for some steep passages from time to time. Martha was always nice and responsive, whenever a question occurred. Enjoy the evening view from your bench at the cottage with a glas of wine or beer. We can definitely recommend this place.

We have stayed in Pembrokeshire many times so was looking forward to yet another visit and we were not disappointed, for what made it much more special was our accommodation the cart house. It was set in beautiful surroundings and views which made washing up a joy! It’s set on a working farm but you wouldn’t know as privacy and noise is respected. I would definitely recommend this accommodation! 😃

The Carthouse along with its neighbours, 3 Alpacas, horse and family dog is a great little hidden jem with the coastal area in Pembrokeshire. The 1 bed Carthouse is well equipped, clean, warm, cosy and very welcoming. It's surrounded with lots of amazing coastal cliff and beach walks that are all dog friendly. Highly recommend.

Ideal starting point to explore the stunning surrounding area. We enjoyed the views from the house and the company of our animal neighbours, the alpacas and horses. We liked the high ceilings in the house and the cosy interior style. Everything in the house was correct as listed. We wouldn't have minded staying for a much longer time!
