About this chalet rental

Well equipped traditional holiday home chalet on sunny hillside overlooking Orsières, midway between Martigny and Grand St Bernard tunnel to Italy. The major ski resort of Verbier is 15 km away and several minor resorts are within 20 mins drive. All four seasons offer a contrasting and splendid location for regular or first time visitors. Comfortable accommodation for six people. Chalet includes fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, WiFi, international cable television programming and quiet surroundings for your relaxation needs. Convenient access to several nearby resorts and sites, though car is recommended. Close to both French and Italian borders, within 30 minutes drive. Aosta is 45 minutes by car. Shopping at Orsieres (3 mins) and Martigny (20 mins).

Other driving distances: Geneva 1 hr 20 mins, Zurich 2 hrs 30 mins, Milan 2 hrs 30 mins, Calais 8 hrs.

This chalet was extremely comfortable. It was easy to find with the hosts directions. The view was absolutely stunning, waking to morning fog obscuring the nearby summits, quickly burning off for the sun to spotlight the valley below. Everything was well stocked, and the beds were quite comfortable. The nearby town had some great restaurants, and plenty to see and do. I would definitely stay here again when I’m in the area.

Beautiful view on the mountains. Quiet location. Clean house. Only the washing machine did not work but that was not a problem for us since we only stayed a few days. The kids loved it! Lots to do in the region.

The chalet is very nice and typical for the neighbourhood. Everything you need is in there. There is a very nice view, we really enjoyed the terace for breakfast and diner. In between we explored the land of St. Bernhard. Terence sent us a very good explanation by forhand about everything and housekeeper Nicole was also very quick with her respons (we had one question).

This was a slice of heaven, incredibly comfortable, everything there you would want for a 'home away from home' and the added extraordinary views of the alps. I had seven weeks here and everyday was wonderful. The scenery is breathtaking, the chalet is warm and comfortable, the evening wine on the deck is icing on the cake. Verbier is a short 2o minute drive away, shopping centres even closer, and wonderful walks every where you turn. I look forward to staying here again.

The chalet is in a very nice and cosy spot. Great views, regardless of whether it has snowed around it or not. We wanted to snowboard in Verbier, so very close and easy to get to cable car. Kitchen appliances were fine, internet was fine. TV and sound system were good too. Plenty of logs to make fire indoor. The only thing that was tricky was doing laundry. We did not manage to work out how to use it, but since we had enough clothing with us we did not bother. Perhaps one thing to improve on.

This chalet is very cozy and friendly! It is located in a quiet neighborhood where your neighbors are not close. The view is amazing and there is a lovely creek running next to the chalet. Love the fire place as well. Beds where a little hard but I like my beds soft. We are hoping to make it back there one day!

The chalet is beautiful located and a cosy place for up to six persons if u dont need a luxury place. For nearby tours around the area we recommend Champez-Lac. If it's not a snowy day go to Chamonix Mont Blanc. It's around one hour by car and worth to take the twisting route. Anyway Orsieres is a lifeless hicktown...

Nice little swiss chalet

We had a very restful holiday-week in winter-season. Possibilities for skiing, snowshoeing, shopping nearby, however calm and sunny, with a superb view to the opposite side of the valley. Though the bedrooms were small, the living with fireplace was quite cozy after daily activities. The kitchen was well equipped, but could have been pre-cleaned better. Altogether, this is a fine holiday-place to recommend.

We're coming over here for years now and this facility has it all. Nice fire-place, cooking facilities, a living room with an amazing view, very clean. It's the perfect place to come over by car when you want to do some skiïng but don't want to be around the buzy (and expensive) skiïng town Verbier. The place to be if you want to get some rest and bring your mind in peace again.

Inneneinrichtung:die Möbel im Wohnzimmer sind erneuerungsbedürftig. Backofen war nicht gebrauchsfähig - zu schmutzig.Duschablauf war verstopft - musste ich zuerst reinigen das war sehr unangenehm.WC Schüssel war stark verschmutzt sollte man erneuern . Sonnenschirm war defekt. TV und WLAN funktionierten gut. Der untere Bereich - Bade und Schlafzimmer waren sehr schön und sauber.

Zeer correcte en vriendelijke online contact, de chalet was voor ons gezin met twee tieners zeker ruim genoeg. Weliswaar wat verouderd maar zeker nog charmant en gezellig. We hebben wel enorm goed geluk gehad met het weer en daardoor elke dag kunnen genieten van de zowel dichte als wat verdere omgeving die ronduit indrukwekkend is! Wandelpaden en mountainbike routes in overvloed, op elk niveau en allemaal voorzien van een 360 graden visueel schouwspel dat je in weinige andere plaatsen in de wereld tegenkomt. Het was een top week.

Super séjour, chalet propre, grand et très bien entretenu. Tout les équipements sont présents et opérationnels et le gérant a pris soin de prévoir tous les détails qui ont leur importance (capsules de café, linge de lit, serviettes, consommables divers etc.). Les indications pour se rendre sur place sont très précises et l’emplacement est idéal, à 10min des premières pistes de ski. Le chalet est isolé et sans vis à vis. Parfait pour une famille ou un groupe d’amis en quête de tranquillité. Je recommande vivement !

Veel is gedateerd en ook is er veel aanwezig wat overbodig is in een vakantiewoning wat de ruimte niet ten goede komt. Onderhoud kan beter zoals bv. slot op de douchedeur zat er niet op!! Afzuigkap droop het vet uit. Buitentuinstoelen zijn niet om relax op te zitten. Slaapkamers zijn te klein. In de grote slaapkamer is zelfs geen plaats voor een koffer of stoel. Wij waren hier met 5 volwassenen. De vakantiewoning is geschikt voor 4 personen en zeker geen 6. We hebben er een fijne vakantie gehad maar dat was mede ook te danken aan het mooie weer.

Cela fait déjà 4 fois que nous venons et nous sommes comme à chaque fois très content de la location et de notre séjour. Le grand chalet, pourvu de tout ce qu'il faut, cosi et bien chaud. La vue à couper de souffle et l'isolement si réjouissant. Les pistes et randonnées à portée de voiture. C'est parfait! A l'année prochaine!

Une très bonne expérience!Nous avons passés de belles vacances dans ce chalet à proximité des petites stations de skis (15-20min en voiture de la Fouly/Champex-le-lac,..). Le chalet était adapté à des enfants en bas age,propre et bien équipé!Un balcon permet de profiter du soleil jusqu'aux derniers rayons.On peut garer la voiture tout près ce qui est pratique.Nous y retournerons volontiers!

We hebben 2 weken met 5 personen in deze woning doorgebracht. Het is een prachtige omgeving en woning ligt vrij. Geen last van buren. Bij aankomst hebben we eerst woning schoongemaakt. Werkelijk overal lag hondenhaar. Zelfs tot in de bedden toe. Vorige huurders hadden hond en dat hebben we gemerkt! Ook spinrag aan de deurposten en op meerdere plaatsten. De dame die schoonmaakt heeft met oogkleppen op gelopen!! Woning is wel gedateerd en ziet er wat haveloos uit. Ook geen koffiezet apparaat aanwezig en dat is best lastig! Ook missen we b.v. opscheplepels. Dekbed van 2 persoons bed is veel te smal en alle kussens erg vies. Er is nog meer te noemen maar willen niet al te negatief zijn. Wij zullen deze woning beslist niet opnieuw boeken. We hadden erg mooi weer dus veel weg geweest. Omgeving is wel mooi en we hebben "buitenshuis" erg genoten!
