The Torre di Talamone in the past was a Spanish watchtower against the invasions of the Saracen pirates.
As the centuries have passed and the Torre has been restored, it has become a special place to spend your holidays. The location, as is for all towers on the sea, is absolutely spectacular. The tower rises above the Gulf of Talamone, the Tuscan coast and the Park of Maremma and on clear days, usual in this part of Tuscany, the view stretches for kilometers. Behind the tower lies the Maremma, rich in woods and scattered with numerous villages of Etruscan origin, the traces of which still remain today. The charm of this place is such that in the past, part of a James Bond movie was filmed here. The tower is part of a large estate that also includes another smaller structure, with which you share only the access to the sea with steps carved into the rock and a with a sunbathing platform. At the foot of the Tower, facing the sea, there are two terraces: on one you will find the swimming pool (6x4,1.40 m deep) (31/05-26/10, from 8 AM to 8 PM) and surrounded by a wooden deck, while the other terrace, which is nicely furnished with sofas and chairs, offers a splendid view that reaches its best at sunset. This accommodation invites idleness and to finish the day you can go to the picturesque village of Talamone, which you have had in front of you all day, to enjoy the delicious Maremma cuisine or fish dishes. Wi-Fi Internet connection, welcome drink, courtesy set in the bathrooms and maid service for 5 days/week (excluding cleaning of the kitchen) are included in the price (only for weekly rentals). Services on request and to be paid for on location: extra hours of maid service, extra linen and towels, babysitter, a chef, cooking classes.
PLEASE NOTE: Air conditioning is present everywhere except one bedroom and the living room on the ground floor. Arrivals must be between 04.00pm and 07.00pm. For arrivals after 19.00 a surcharge of 200 euros will be required. In case of use of the kitchen an extra cleaning fee will be applied (30 euro per hour). If the cleaning ladies will find towels or bed linen on the floor they will change them automatically and charge them as extra cost.ACCOMMODATION: (330 m2) Gr. fl.: small dining room with fireplace, kitchen (oven, dishwasher, microwave, small appliances, Italian stovetop espresso maker), 2 double rooms (air conditioning) one with bathroom with shower and one with bathroom with bath, 1 double room (air conditioning) with bathroom with bath and shower. A stairway leads to a small terrace on the tower. 1st fl.: large living/dining room with fireplace (DVD player, satellite TV) with cooking area, access to the panoramic terrace equipped for outdoor dining and with sofas.
Outbuilding: Gr. fl.: living room, two double bedrooms both with bathroom with shower and air conditioning. All bedroom windows have mosquito screens.
