SureStay Plus by Best Western Edmond

I just finished a 4 night stay at this hotel. (Checked in Wednesday night, checked out Sunday morning) Upon check in, the guy at reception was quick, found my reservation and got me checked in quickly and handed me my keys and told me the best place to park to access my room. (Parking was free) I parked where the guy said and walked to the side door entrance. There is a lock on the door and place to slide a keycard, but part of the doorframe near the lock had been cut out and the door can be pulled open without using a key. No security for the building or guests. I carried my bags to my room, and walked past the ice machine, and guest laundry area. There were 3 pizza boxes on the ground next to the trash can, with a pair of black socks on top of the trash cans lid. The pizza boxes were there everyday, even up until I checked out. And the socks sitting on the trash cans too. The washing machine was also very visibly dirty and there was soap poured all down the front of the machine. The carpets in the hallway were full of debris, trash and dirt and the hallway had a very musty smell. The room I got was a King bed with a seating/living room area. (#227) The room was good sized and the furniture was recently updated and I didn’t see stains or tears in the upholstery. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were flat and needed to be replaced. The AC unit had a thick layer of dust on the front intake part of the unit. When it was on the room smelled like dust. I cleaned the air intake/filters and they were BLACK when I pulled them out and the rag I used to wipe down the front of the unit was also black when I was finished. The bathroom was FILTHY! dirty! The toilet was not cleaned and the shower had a black ring around the bottom of the tub and the shower curtain stained with mold. (I took the shower curtain to the front desk and got a new one) I went to the vending machines for a snack, and the area in-between the machines was filthy dirty. Every single day, I walked passed the areas mentioned above and they were still dirty, never cleaned up, trash never taken out. After my four nights, I came to realize the hotel is run by a family, and they do not have any staff, they run the hotel themselves. My honest opinion; dirty, musty, gross, and lazy/incompetent management. The whole hotel desperately needs a very! thorough cleaning. The nightly rate was decent and they offered free continental breakfast (never went tho) There is a pool, but I didn’t go in there so not sure how clean it was. The hotel is in a good location, and easily accessible to the freeway and plenty of restaurants nearby. I have photos of all the mentioned items above too.

Value for money. Satisfactory stay.

Mold real heavy in bathroom room not too clean

The place was good for the amount we spent on the night. Beds were good. Rooms were clean and had plenty of room. Swimming pool needed cleaned. We didn’t eat the breakfast, so can’t comment.
