Un super propriétaire qui grâce à tous ces bons conseils de sites a découvrir nous a permis de passer 4 Journées merveilleuses dans cette très belle région. Nous avons apprécié sa gentillesse Nous reviendrons avec un grand plaisir

A perfect base on the Dordogne River to explore the beautiful Dordogne Valley especially the local area of the 5 castles. The house is compact and comfortable for two with everything you need for your stay. An excellent bakery and local butcher are across the road with a small grocery store. Canoeing is available 100m away and the lovely grassy and shady reserve has steps into the water and a shingle beach. We swam every day in the river and beautiful side streams where the current is low, all crystal clear. We did walks to the other castle towns through farms fields and forest, all flat and easy. A very special part of France altogether and Patrick’s cottage is perfectly positioned. Patrick is a charming host and takes a lot of trouble to ensure you have good information on the area.

Not a reflection on the house but the location. We stayed in late June when the local restaurants were not yet open for dinner so for an evening meal you needed to drive.

The outside appearance and cozy indoors, with a good mix of old and modern.

The property had windows but it wasn’t possible to see out. No little court yard or place to sit outside. Ok for our 2 night stay but not for longer stays I think.
