The Mill House Bampton

We loved the host, the home and the location. We had car problems on arrival and our host helped us out enormously with contacting locals to help us out as well as driving us places. She went above and beyond what was expected of her and we really appreciated having a friendly local in a place we were unfamiliar with.

Excellent location. Quiet yes very close to shops in Bampton. Three bathrooms, huge kitchen and living room.

Spongy beds

Lovely rooms and facilities. Loved the huge, well equipped kitchen. Water always hot and superb pressure in the showers.

Definitely need a car. Was a drive even into Bampton.

The house was perfect for a small family gathering to mark a birthday. Two couples in the double rooms and two grown brothers in the twin room, all rooms with effectively their own bathrooms, was the ideal layout. The huge kitchen and spacious lounge gave us room to breathe and there was good parking for all. The house was beautifully furnished and looked freshly decorated; it was also very warmly heated, so we didn't need to light the stove. We know Bampton well and the location of this house in Devon's rolling wooded countryside is very quiet on the outskirts, yet a reasonable walk (via a footpath saving us from the puddly road!) into the pretty village with its shops and eateries.
