We enjoyed a lovely family vacation at Buttonwood Belize in Hopkins

The friendly staff at Coconut Row who managed Buttonwood Belize were helpful, patient, and accommodating. The food at the Coconut Husk restaurant was delicious. The rooms were clean, very well equipped, and appointed. The excursion to the Mayan site was well orchestrated. The town of Hopkins offers a lovely glimpse onto the local Belizean culture.

The resort fee was an unpleasant surprise on our bill.

Great location, delicious food, and friendly staff

The service was awesome. All the staff was pleasant and gave us all the recommendations we needed to enjoy Garifuna Settlement Day. The owner was also very welcoming and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The food at the restaurant which is located at their sister location Coconut Row was delicious for both breakfast and dinner. You also have access to the pool at Coconut Row. The location is perfect right in the center of the downtown area. We were travelling during a national holiday so it was a bit noisy during all the festivities, but hearing all the drumming and experiencing the Garifuna culture was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is central to everything within a short walk or golf cart ride you can get to most places. You also has direct beach access from your room.

The water pressure wasn't that great, but otherwise it was a great stay.

Hreat value right on the beach

Fabulous location and the staff went out of their way to fix the AC when it broke. The kitchen was great allowing full self catering. Loved the bongo drums from the beach cafe next door and watching the young kids practice their moves

while the café next door was great they did start their music early in the morning (8-9am)

Made new friends and awesome memories

We stayed in one of the apartments just down the road from the main property and it was fantastic. Our first positive impression was of the people working there. They are all so kind and attentive. Our apartment was perfect, had everything and more that we needed. Right next door is a small restaurant and bar that Delia runs and her and her family became friends. We were sad to say goodbye. The main property has a gorgeous pool and a very nice restaurant. We ate breakfast there a couple of times. At both properties the grounds are immaculate with picture perfect beaches. We absolutely loved our time in Hopkins Village. My advice is to mingle with the locals and not so much the other tourists, you won’t be disappointed. Amazing people

we stayed in the 2 bedroom Carrie room. staff were very friendly, but the room wasn’t as nice as we expected. poor wifi.

pictures made the room a lot nicer than it was. patio wasn’t private had people walking and sharing our outdoor space. the beach was only cleaned a little bit.

Buttonwood is such a hidden gem!

Buttonwood is such a hidden gem! Amazing facilities; Buttonwood is incredibly well taken care of, and our room had granite countertops and mahogany furnishings! On top of a gorgeous room (with a large, private balcony with hammocks), there is now a brand new pool (as of this time not yet pictured in the listing, located a few hundred feet away at the main property) with lounge chairs, and directly next to the beach - both of which are kept immaculately clean. During the length of our stay we also had the opportunity to visit several other nearby resorts; and Buttonwood completely blows them away-both in quality and price. The on-site restaurant (Coconut Husk) is excellent, and thankfully offers great vegetarian and vegan options. There are other terrific food options nearby. We didn't take advantage of booking a tour, but you can do so for a variety of options through the main office. Again, our stay was far beyond our expectations for the price. Incredibly kind others and staff. Absolutely delightful, overall! Highly, highly recommended!

Beachfront, quiet, central and staff couldn't be more accommodating.

This room was steps from the beach! Amazing views but what made it special was the friendly staff. They checked on us daily. There was a power surge which took out the AC so the host moved us to an upgraded room for the remainder of the stay. Over and above hospitality. Located in Hopkins central to several restaurants and activities. The Coconut Husk Restaurant have the best Fry Jacks in Belize!

Hard beds in Buttonwood

Great location however seaweed ruined the fun on the beach. We were in Hopkins to watch Maya and Fishing do it was OK.

Pool is missing. Beds are so hard it was tough.
