Wonderful location, in Sargassum season go for bigger hotel that does clean beach

The hotel is beautifully located at the beach.

We had bad luck because there was Sargassum everywhere that gave a foul smell. No effort was done to clean the beach from it. We did not know about this problem. The smell was so bad we could hardly sit outside. We thought the restaurant hours were very tight and also thought that the owner was only walking around a bit without helping his personnel. This bothered us.

A great hotel with everything you need for a relaxing stay.

We stayed at this hotel for the last 3 days of a 3-week trip around Central America. It gave us a perfect opportunity to relax after a busy tour. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had a lovely patio with table and chairs and hammock. We were surprised by the proximity to the beach. The room was serviced daily and kept to a high standard. The food at the bar/restaurant was good but be aware that it shuts early in an evening. The pool was lovely and the staff were attentive and helpful.

We stayed in mid-August and the hotel was very quiet. I think we were the only guests mid-week which impacted the atmosphere. Given that we were the only guests, it was a shame they didn't offer us a room upgrade. This would have been a lovely gesture! You can not swim in the sea in front of Coconut Row due to Sargassum. There is some litter on the beach in Hopkins.

Location right on the beach, very relaxed and quiet. Walking distance to some nice restaurants and bike hire nearby for going further afield if needed. Staff all very friendly and professional.

A lovely spot and very relaxing.

It's a beautiful hotel in a quiet and very interesting part of Belize. It's a place to relax and ease into a different rhythm. The continental breakfast was just right. Not too much food, but fresh and nicely presented. The salt water pool was delightful and a nice paring with the beach just steps away. The staff were very accommodating and mega friendly.

Great hotel, staff and location. Lovely pool with beach and ocean right there. Near center of Hopkins but very quiet and safe. Apartment was like a nice little two bedroom flat. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on food. Overall excellent place to stay.

Lights were a bit bright. More lamps with orange tinge to bulbs would help at night.

Beach front luxury at an affordable price it’s a small paradise and I truly felt it

The staff was friendly and helpful, everyone made a point of remembering our names. The drinks were amazing we had food waiting for us when we arrived and it was actually one of the best meals we had in Belize. They have two cute security dogs that enjoyed getting pet. It a family type of atmosphere it didn’t take long to feel like you were part of theirs. The excursions were fun and well organized by the staff.

The sand flies but that can’t be controlled there everywhere in Belize.

We loved this place! Much quieter than the bigger resorts! Super clean! Our little cabin was right on the beach and everything was very well done. Helpful staff checked on us frequently but without being annoying.

wonderful stay

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in this beachfront property, and it is in a good location close to restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. We stayed in a cute cabana with a small fridge and coffee maker. It’s convenient to have coffee first thing in the morning since we have been waking up early. The restaurant doesn’t open for breakfast until 8 am. It is very convenient to have the restaurant on site and we ate our breakfasts there. When we first arrived, the owner Damian was there to greet us. He was very friendly and helpful. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The staff were very nice. Coconut Row owned a tour shuttle and a boat. We had a rental car so we didn’t book an inland tour. We went on the “fish and snorkel” tour. The guide and boat Captain were very patient and helpful. We used their kayak on our last full day and that was a nice experience and the staff helped us get it on the beach. Our only disappointment is the thick sargussum along the beaches. It is not specific to Coconut Row. It is the entire Belize west coast problem. We didn’t realize that it was a big problem when we planned our vacation, and sadly, we didn’t enjoy the Belizean beach experience in San Pedro, Placencia, and Hopkins.

great location right on the beach. convenient to walk to a few restaurants and markets. (Hopkins is a really small village)

small and quiet village. if that's what you are looking for, it is a good fit. i just needed a little more stimulation. as a solo traveler, it was harder to schedule any tours or activities as all are based on a 2 person minimum. (this seems consistent across the country) and because it is a small village, less opportunity to find and join other groups. would have liked if the property manager had been more proactive in seeking local guides to help find those opportunities.
