Hotel garni Paleta

- breakfast - Igor the host was incredible and super helpful. He clearly puts his entire body and soul into the place - the room and bathroom was very big - clean - air conditioner present - parking offered and included - 40 mins from Bled and 30 from the capital (which is a win for me)

Our host was very attentive - and hard working! He also provided excellent advice on other places to visit (and avoid) in the region. Our bedroom and the breakfast room had splendid views of the river, historic bridge and old town.

There were relatively few restaurants in the town (but lots of bars!) .

We only stayed here 3 nights but we loved it so much we didn't want to leave. The hotel is in a brilliant location and Skofja Loka is a really lovely, peaceful place. Our room was spotless and comfortable with excellent air conditioning and a view of the river and castle (room 3 family room). Igor the owner is the star of the show. He is helpful, knowledgeable, funny and so kind. He is always available to give advice about the area and to help out with anything. He clearly lives and breathes Hotel Garni. The history of this family hotel is fascinating - as is the history of Skofja Loka. Igor will take the time to tell you all about it if you are interested. Igor's breakfast was brilliant - homemade bread, eggs, cheese, meats, cereals and a special cake brought round for the guests every morning. We were sad that we had to miss breakfast to catch our plane on the last day but Igor made us some food to take with us. We would love to go back one day.

The location was perfect, close to sights while also having parking and easy access to the surrounding area . Breakfast was great and the owner was very friendly and super knowledgeable about the area. We loved his hospitality and recommendations !

Nothing
