Hikka Beach Flat

I spent 8 days at Hikka Beach Flat and it was an ideal base for exploring Hikkaduwa. The apartment was bright, clean, and well‑equipped, with a fantastic location close to the beach, local fruit market, supermarket, and both bus and train stations. The restaurant next door kindly delivered meals to the apartment. Sea Breeze Restaurant, only a two‑minute walk along the beach, quickly became our favourite — excellent food, warm service, and unforgettable iced coffee. We also had the unforgettable experience of releasing baby turtles with them. A truly lovely stay.

The apartment could use a little updating, and the rattan blinds meant the harbour lights shone into the bedroom. There was sometimes rubbish left by restaurant customers near the gate in the mornings. I also would have appreciated some basic cleaning supplies and a bigger hob for cooking.

I loved de property. Just in front of the beach, in a small bay, not to many people around but still lively, very close to bars and restaurants. Two confortable rooms with bathrooms and one kitchen.
