Location was great, albeit a little difficult to find but the host provided directions that made sense once you got on ground.

The TV had terrible service but that was a minor complaint since I didn’t spend all that much time in the room. Aside from that, everything was perfect and exactly as advertised.

I’ve provided photos not only of the room, but of the view from my balcony, as well as the steep, uneven pathway I had to walk to and from the property—so that future guests can see the reality for themselves. That said, there’s always sunlight behind the clouds. The good news is that the property was within very short walking distance of the new port of Mykonos, often referred to as Tourlos Port, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The next morning I was able to catch a ferry very early. Sometimes, there really is a rainbow after the storm.

Title: Not What I Expected — Please Read Carefully Before Booking I rarely leave any reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so that other travelers—especially older ones or those with mobility concerns and/or have a lot of heavy luggage—can make an informed decision. Before I booked and paid, I messaged the owner explaining that I’m 77 years young, would be arriving with two suitcases, and was specifically looking for accommodations with minimal steps or walking. I asked whether someone would be available to assist me. The owner never responded. That should have told me something. When I arrived at midnight after a long flight, the taxi (€20 from the airport) dropped me off at the street. What I didn’t know is that the property is only accessible by foot via a long, steep, uneven stone pathway—completely inaccessible by car or taxi. I had to walk the entire way, dragging luggage through the dark. Thankfully, two kind young men helped me. When I reached the house, a woman greeted me who spoke only Greek. I speak only English, as did the men helping me. Even after I used a translation app to explain, she refused to let them carry my suitcases up the stairs to my room inside the house. I found this unkind and unnecessary. They were simply trying to help. The room itself was a disappointment. It looked nothing like the pictures. The listing appeared to advertise an entire apartment, but I was only renting a single room with no access to shared spaces. The online photos should show only the actual room being rented—not other parts of the building and/or views that are NOT available from that room. There was loud music past 1:00 or 2:00 a.m., making it difficult to sleep. When I messaged the host for clarification or help, I received no response except for the wifi passcode. I hope this review helps other travelers avoid the confusion and discomfort I experienced.
