Lovely place, cozy wooden cabin close to the shop with a sauna! The owners are really nice, had kitchen with the basic utilities fit for enjoying cozy meals. I will absolutely come back, and Kilpisjärvi is a wonderful place.
Great location for Northern Lights! 🌌
One note: the bedroom is up the stairs, the ceiling is quite low, I (1.65 m) had to watch my head quite often. Taller people, be aware 😊

1. Great location - near some trails, near the store ans near the fuel station.
2. Friendly personnel.
3. Wooden house.
4. Kitchen utensils (kettle, coffee maker, microwave, big fridge)
5. Own balcony
6. Long sofa downstairs to stretch legs
7. Thermostats in each room downstairs and a radiator upstairs
8. Fire place inside
9. Sauna
10. Waste separation facility!
12. Spices, salt, tea, sugar.
1. Only 1 towel was given per person (no small towel). No kitchen textile towel - only paper towels. The bed linens were old (but fine!). Altogether these were not worth 14 euros per set.
2. Internet didnt work most of the time.
3. Only 1 frying pan and no lid.
4. Very small mugs.
5. Cold and uncosy shower - it would benefit from a bathroom mat, and a better "stick" for removing water - wasnt efficient.
6. No bed side tables near beds upstairs.
7. Upstairs is like a camp area with a lot of sleeping places and thats it.
8. Beds were not comfortable.
9. Balcony door had no blinds or curtains.
10. No bulb in balcony's light.
11. Very poor noise insulation - can easily hear neighbours talking.
12. No warderobe or shelf for clothes.
13. The mat in the living room was dirty.
14. Stairs were a bit tricky - if a person is not comfortable with balancing and climbing, better not to use them. But there is only 1 bed downstairs.

Excellent location just 200 m walk to the Kilpisjärvi central shops yet still in a beautiful nature surrounding. Hiking routes start just 100 m away. Good price to quality ratio in an otherwise expensive Kilpisjärvi (this time of the year). Good for a family stay with plenty of sleeping places. Kitchen was well equipped, had coffee brewer and even some left over salt flour and coffee filters.
A bit worn. Shower room had no shower curtain or place to keep clothes, a small plastic stool or rack would have done the job.

The apartment itself was really nice. Loved the timber and cosiness. Really good sauna where we could jump into the snow off the balcony.
The owners were very sneaky about the €14pp linen cost. If they want to charge that… fine but don’t hide it in the legal fine print. There were plenty of places they could have told us this up front.
Also the kitchen sink smelt like sewage. We were able to fill the sink with hot water and soap to mask it. Wasn’t too bad but we were borderline on asking for a new room.
I am 5’9 and I kept bumping my head upstairs and having to hunch. Not very comfortable.
This is paid accommodation, I should not have to scrub the floors and do a deep clean of the entire place (including toilet) before I leave. This is your job!
