We liked that it was a short walk to the property from the Railway Station and a short walk to the main street and harbour. The breakfast box was a really nice touch that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Unfortunately there was a lot of young adults staying there the same night as us and they came in about 12.00 midnight and continued speaking and making a noise in the corridor until 3.00am so we didn't get much sleep.

Great location and value for money. All a golfer needs for the night.

Great location, value for money and great food hamper pack and fridge in the room which was such a nice touch at the price I paid.

Didn’t realise it was self check in as had no message telling me. So turned up in darkness, rain and no key box code. 2% battery life on phone and no signal I was a bit stressed but thanks to north Berwick golf club I was able to use their WiFi and get a message through to property and sorted in the end.

Great place in a very nice town.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel doesn't provide breakfast, but they left us a basket full with food and snacks and small fridge with milk and cheese. Beautiful location in old fire station, near the beach and short walk to the high street with nice pubs, restaurants and stores.

Small room so not suitable for long stays. the doors don't block noises and you can hear anyone walking in the hall past the room.

The hotel’s facilities and location were excellent, and the added touch of complimentary snacks and an in-room fridge was a nice bonus.

The hotel feels a bit dated and would benefit from some light refurbishment and general maintenance. With that said, I would stay again.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Situation was good. Welcome hamper was nice. Communal room was a bonus due to size of bedroom.

Friendly run, comfy hotel in great location to trains and beach.

The hotel is located within a short walking distance of the train station and just a few minutes from the beachfront. There is a lovely open-plan sitting area and dining area for hotel guests to use. Both rooms were well equipped with comfortable beds. The larger room (Room 3) had a separate bath and shower. While no breakfast buffet was offered, there were provisions in the rooms which included a small mini bar fridge with milk and yogurt as well as with breakfast food items (croissant, porridge, cereal bars, etc). Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Room 3, No windows only a skylight, 4inch opening so it got warm & stuffy and of course you couldnt see anything. Sloping ceilings bathroom & kettle area, head banging!! Shower floor a foot off the ground, would be dodgy stepping out for an older person(Me) and nothing to hold onto. White paintwork shabby, whole place needs a total makeover inside and out.

Cozy little day trip to North Berwick and warm service by Folly Hotel staff

There was a snack basket with porridge and snacks and a mini fridge for milk and drinks. We were also received warmly by the staff. We arrived before the check-in time and were able to deposit our luggage with the reception and run off to the Seabird Centre to catch a boat ride out! The suite (2 beds) was also big enough for our family of 3 (1yo)!

We had arrived on a Monday and the closing hours of the restaurants and shops around were a little early (5-6pm). It was quite quiet/dead in North Berwick on a Monday and we didn't know unfortunately if not we could aim to arrive a little to get more out of our day trip!

Location is excellent. Room quiet but rather small. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shower worked OK.

Overall, rather careworn and not really worth the cost. Lots of things did not work properly eg the toilet seat wonky, the TV only a couple of channels, holes in back of bathroom door, state of decoration poor. Towels weren't changed, toiletries not replaced and fridge not updated. No proper wardrobe so room got very cluttered. Hotel did not do breakfast.

The welcome was lovely from the couple who were managing the hotel. It was small but deceptively well appointed. The breakfast in a basket was well presented and just what was needed, with the great little fridge. Location perfect. Parking easy.
