A pleasant owner who cedes control of his business and his customers to a bossy matron
Nice, clean room and outdoor area
Breakfast service from an attention-seeking server who got offended at the slightest enquiry. Don't ask if they have skimmed milk or if you want your eggs well-done. It's not allowed. Probably what it must be like having breakfast at boarding school or appearing as Oliver in the musical. Just don't ask. Keep your mouth firmly shut. On a positive but risky note we finished by praising the delicious "Dorset Mushrooms", as described on the menu, only to be scolded with "they're not Dorset mushrooms they're from M and S, if you want Dorset mushrooms then go buy some yourself and we'll cook them for you". I'm so sorry Matron, we hadn't even associated mushrooms with the county of Dorset until we read it on your menu. Left a day early wasting £170 for the room. It was time to have a holiday. After all, shit happens once in a while.

Lovely place to stay
Druid house is very welcoming from the minute you walk in. The room was very comfortable and had a nice separate seating area for relaxing. The breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. Druid house is very close to the high street which has lots of good pubs, coffee shops and restaurants. We particularly liked The Boathouse which isn't far away. The old Priory is worth a visit. There is also a lovely park nearby. We walked to Avon Beach in under an hour, and it was well worth the walk. We hope to return and explore more. Thank you.

A great and comfortable base to explore the New Forest.
The house is in an excellent location, just a 2 minute walk from the high street. The whole house is light, airy and spotlessly clean. Our room was wonderful, and the breakfast was superb.

We didn’t stay, we felt uncomfortable in the property.
The property was not what we expected. It was misrepresented on the website. It was a room that was like being in a suburban home - very sterile and not the experience we wanted or anticipated. The staff was intrusive and made us feel uncomfortable. The room was overpowered by the smell of cleaning products.
