La struttura si trova nell'antico monastero di San Ponziano, circondato da ulivi, su una collina di fronte al centro storico, che è comunque raggiungibile in pochi minuti a piedi, senza dover spostare l'auto (c'è un comodo posteggio accanto alla struttura). Offre quindi la possibilità di soggiornare all'interno di un complesso di grande valore storico e culturale, in camere confortevoli, ben riscaldate, pulite, arredate in maniera semplice e funzionale ma anche con mobili antichi. La nostra stanza si affacciava su un piccolo cortile con vista sulla splendida facciata romanica della basilica di San Ponziano, suggestivamente illuminata anche di notte, una vera gioia per gli occhi! Da sottolineare anche la gentilezza della signora Donatella, che ci ha accolto fuori dall'orario di check-in, dandoci anche un ottimo consiglio sulla cena. Da non perdere la visita della chiesa e della cripta con il signor Giuseppe. Ottima anche la colazione, servita in un ampio locale con affaccio al chiostro delle monache.
Segnalo un aspetto NON dipendente dalla struttura: non seguire le indicazioni del navigatore (che indica una strada secondaria), bensì raggiungere la struttura risalendo Via Cacciatori delle Alpi, poi Via delle Lettere ed infine svoltare a destra al sottopasso della Flaminia per risalire la collina ove sorge il monastero.

The friendly courteous staff and even those who did not speak English, were happy to use translator app. I was a walking Pilgrim who had blistered painful feet. Reception organised a taxi for me to take me to a large shoe store outlet to purchase new shoes, this was much appreciated by me. Breakfast choices were very good. Even with painful feet the walk into and out of the old historic area of Spoleto for dinner was easy and I felt safe as an older woman alone also for two nights. The room exceeded my expectations for a 1,000year old convent. It was beautifully appointed with a bath also and very clean. Bed was very comfy. Thank you Sisters and Staff at Casa Religiosa di Ospitalità San Ponziano.
It was a minor issue but a small baby who cried which would be fine but I wasn't expecting to hear it for two nights and sometimes in the day time at sleep time. It was soothing though to hear the Muma singing her baby to sleep. So I understood it wasn't their fault of course, but thin walls.
