Hotel Yuzawa Yuzawa Denkiya

We only spent a night here.. I wish we had stayed a few nights though. It’s very nice. The onsen is just beautiful. The room had a tatami mat and felt traditional in a way most of our other hotels had not. It was a very nice experience. The communication was great and the staff were so helpful in guiding us through connecting with the free shuttle bus.

Just the bed

The bath is really spacious and beautifully designed. Hotel provides shuttle service to Yuzawa station which is really convenient and food was perfect too.

The property is a mix of great and disappointing things. It is still a great place to stay for those who are okay with not having a toilet inside the room. I’m case you have to pee in the middle of the night you gotta leave the room and use common toilet in the alleyway. Moreover, for women’s toilet only one was western style which was obviously used by everyone and hence and waiting period sometimes. The room and the hallways were well designed and lit up. although some of our futon and top sheet were not really clean and having a dust allergy I was sneezing and coughing all night.
