Towerhill Hotel

The hotel was functional for our needs for a short 2 day stay. Beds were comfortable, wifi was fast and the location of the hotel was good - close to bus, train stops as well as restaurants and shopping areas.

The hotel could have been a bit more open to early check ins and also informing people of rooms being available early. We asked for an early check in due to an overnight flight, and were given a flat out no, straight away.

The property location, room, cleanliness, breakfast and staff professionalism and friendliness. There was an e-mart just next door which was very convenient and the e-mart staff was a lovely and friendly man! :)

1. it takes about 7-8 minutes to walk to the closest subway station and there is no comfortable sidewalk, you share same road with cars driving beside you. Not convenient if you have young kids or luggage to walk to subway. it was raining all day during our stay, so walking to subway was tough. 2. The front desk staffs (except the manager, but she was not at the front most time) had difficulty understanding very basic English. e.g. “where is the closest subway station” “how long it will take to order taxi?” etc. Do not expect to ask recommendations or tips from front desk, they don’t understand most of your questions. i was thinking whether the foreign guests will receive sufficient assistance if there is any emergency situation happens. 3. Some of the front desk staffs were rude actually. The two girls working on Sep 1 and 2nd shifts were laughing and talking behind customer and I heard that in both days while waiting for the elevator beside the front desk. That made me feel very uncomfortable. We stayed couple of days in Seoul and never saw the staffs in Seoul hotel behave like that. The front desk staffs definitely need more training. 4. We got a room on 3rd floor. But because the building is located at a lower level. Our room in 3rd floor is actually right connects to a ground level road. We had to close the black-out curtains all day otherwise all the cars and pedestrians passing by can see through our room. people walking on the road can hear us talking if we opened the window.
