TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar

This was my first visit to Zanzibar I was elated. I was content not to be at work or home working. The resort was fantastic. The workers there were pleasant, always smiling, and always busy.

The wait for the laundry to be picked up. 6 hours and 3 phone calls later, the staff picked up the laundry and charged me $132.00. There were not even 12 items in the laundry. Reception informed us it was done within 24 hours. Therefore, I paid for the express service. The spa was nice and the staff great. However, I felt like the spa could use updated services and accommodations. There was no pedicure chair or station. My leg had to be held in the staff's lap each time she worked on one foot. The paint job was poorly done and I had to go back two days later due to a previous engagement the next day. The plunge pool is not use, there was no steam or sauna rooms nor was there a hot tub.

It was good in terms of the room sizes and staff. The snack fridge was also appreciated. Lastly, the beach dinner was great! the best part.

We requested a twin room, when we arrived that wasn’t given to us and we have to wait for them to sort that even though we checked in 3 hrs after their normal check in time. This should have been ready. The pool wasn’t clean, it had fishes and insects in it. The food was disappointing. We tried all the restaurants and were very disappointed. We reserved the Andiamo for one evening, even with the request window seat they tired to push us in a random corner. Then the service was very slow and very biased favouring the caucasians, we had to ask for a things a couple of times till i gave up. The food was also very disappointing.
