Valamon luostari on perinteinen ja rauhallinen paikka
Kun hankin majoitusta, en tiennyt millainen majoitus on. Huome oli pertymys ennakko-odotuksiin liittyen.

Valamon luostari on ainutlaatuinen paikka ja siellä pääsee perehtymään todella mielenkiintoiseen kulttuurihistoriaan. Opastettu kierros oli mielenkiintoinen. Reitti Pyhän Matkamiehen ristille on erinomainen ulkoiluun ja hiljentymiseen. Vanha kirkko, uusi kirkko ja hautausmaa olivat kauniita ja jokaiseen esineeseen sekä hautaan liittyy tarina. Aamiainen oli maukas ja monipuolinen. Viinipuoti ja matkamuistomyymälä ovat hyvä lisä elämykseen.
Luostarihotellin wc haisi voimakkaasti viemäriltä.
