La Veranda of Mykonos Traditional Guesthouse

This was our second visit to Mykonos and easily the best location. Yannis is a legend , so hospitable and full of helpful information e.g restaurant recommendations-Philotimo was excellent and the best beaches for less wind! We booked two rooms for our family group- room 1 with the kitchenette was useful for making breakfasts and lunches to enjoy on the terrace making the most of the superb view. The local AB supermarket on the main road stocks just about everything! Also the bus from the port to airport stops outside AB for €4 - much better than the standard €40 transfer. A little gym workout to take the suitcase to the top- but I did it. Regarding the steps into the town- it took me 15 mins and was fine. In fact our Santorini steps to our hotel in Oia were more challenging. We had booked in at Sunset 180 bar for a family celebration and this is next door! We enjoyed lazy afternoons by the pool too. We will definitely return to La Veranda as our go- to stop in Mykonos. Thank you Yannis.

Time for the budget cave room to have a makeover!

The perfect little getaway. Situated in a wonderful location overlooking Mykonos town this lovely guesthouse was perfect from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We were greeted by Yannis who was so lovely and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool area was well planned and quiet. There were plenty of areas to sit and relax. The terrace was a perfect place to sit and watch the sunset. Be warned if you aren’t fit and don’t like lots of steps this isn’t the place for you, however if you want to get your steps in then the short but steep walk to and back from town is perfect.

This property is a hidden gem, the owner is so friendly and helpful, the views are amazing, the poolside room was a favourite of our trip, and the pool itself is a much appreciated added bonus. We can't wait for our next visit!

Great to have free transfer from the airport. Lovely big room with view over the small but usable pool. Lots of terraces with amazing views, lovely to have a glass of wine to watch the sunset or breakfast overlooking Mykonos Town. Breakfast was extra but relatively reasonable, loved the greek yoghurt and honey. Staff/owners were lovely, staff kept gardens immaculate. 10 minute walk down into Mykonos Town.

Where there's a great view there also tends to be a hike up a hill & this was the case here. Manageable if you planned your day not to have to keep coming back up but not recommended if you have any mobility problems. Driving up the steep narrow track not for the faint hearted either. Liked my room but thought the bathroom could do with some updating.
