Very pleasant rooms in a fascinating building with high ceilings and broad stairs. Ideally situated in between the Villa Cavrois and the Museé La Piscine. Lovely and caring host.

I like the exceptional service of the hotel owner Ms Nathalie, I enjoyed my whole stay- rooms were clean and hygienic, breakfast (French) was good and fresh. Overall highly recommended for solo traveller. Thanks !

Fantastic location with easy metro access to Lille, but plenty to do within a short walk in Roubaix.

Gorgeous old home with attentive, helpful host. We were warned that there could be noise due to home's age, but we all slept through a post-midnight arrival of other guests. Lovely breakfast.

Roubaix: an interesting place to stay.

This is an impressive and interesting house with a very friendly and helpful host. It's situated in an area of terraced streets which is a little bleak, but parking outside was easy and you're a 15 minute walk from the centre, with its impressive town hall, and in the other direction, a very beautiful large park. My room was small, but fine for the overnight stay I had booked. Breakfast was good and plentiful, served in the very stylish front room.

Very warm and friendly welcome, and a lot of advise about the city during our stay. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Good starting point to visit the Villa Cavrois and 'La Piscine'; Very nice breakfast if you are fond of a rather sweet start of the day: butter croissant and lots of lovely low sugar marmelades as 'baguette-filling'; also decent range of teas; fresh fruit (not really sun-ripened); got 2 really perfectly prepared 'oeufs à la coque' (on request); ... the room was nicely and (fortunately) not over-decorated, very clean and very quiet; good bed; we slept very wel! nice kitchenette if you feel like heating or preparing something instead of eating in town

breakfast: nothing salty no slices of meat ('charcuterie') and none of the famous and lovely French cheeses; but maybe this is due to a different 'breakfast culture'? no good restaurants in the neighbourhood, it is a quiet but also a bit dull part of town creaky stairs (not disturbing for we were the sole guests, but what if ....) had to flush the toilet several times after one go; but I would certainly recommend this place!

Interesting place

The builiding itself is impressive and the decoration is done ith a great taste. My room was small but it had everything and more to make it comfortable. The only minus was the temeprature, but it was winter ... The breakfast is held in a beautiful room and it has A LOT of choice of different jams. The owner gives a lot of tourist information and has many uselful pamphlets. Parking is on the street but it is for free.

The internet connection in the 3rd floor wasn't strong enough. But there is a common kitchen in the 2nd, so I did most of my things from there.

Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Uns hat es in der Unterkunft ausgesprochen gut gefallen: Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hat uns mit vielen Informationen zu der Umgebung versorgt, das Haus ist sehr originell und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit vielen liebevollen Details, morgens gab es immer frisch vom Bäcker geholte Croissants und Baguettes sowie einen aromatischen Kaffee. Eine kleine Küche konnte man mitbenutzen. Alles war sauber und das Zimmer sehr großräumig. Uns fehlte es während unseres Aufenthalts an nichts und wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt.

Es gibt nichts, was man bemängeln könnte.

Parfait pour un we à Roubaix et Lille

Le charme de l'ancien, pour cette maison qui garde sa personnalité, tout en s'adaptant parfaitement pour accueillir des visiteurs d'un we. Nathalie est de bon conseil et oeuvre discrètement pour que le petit déjeuner soit non seulement bon et copieux, mais aussi un moment agréable de convivialité ! On y reviendra avec plaisir.

Très belle demeure pour cette chambre d'hôtes. Chambre spacieuse et confortable, avec sa salle de bain attenante aussi spacieuse. Accès à une cuisine partagée qui peut être appréciable. Petit déjeuner tres chouette avec une jolie table et du choix (petit déjeuner français = sucré).

Le parquet qui craque dans les escaliers et la chambre ;-) le charme de l'ancien !!!
