Hotel Brühlerhöhe

Die Lage ist super - die Altstadt ist fussläufig erreichbar. Das Zimmer war ok, genauso wie das Frühstück.

A very comfortable hotel with helpful staff. Although there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room staff quickly gave us a kettle, mugs and told us to help ourselves to tea / coffee from the breakfast room. There were good choices of food at breakfast. There is no bar but the staff kept a fridge well stocked with beer/ wine to which you help yourself and just sign a sheet to say what you have taken - trust is implicit.

The room was large. Hotel easily reachable via streetcar from old town. The woman who seems to be in charge is very nice. . Towel heating rack was great for drying clothes we hand washed.

The hotel is in a residential neighborhood far from anything remotely interesting. Got poor directions from the man at the desk for accessing old town. Though the hotel room was described as quite inviting in the Lonely Planet guidebook, it was ugly, with bland and cold furniture. We lasted two nights before finding another hotel.
