MCC Hostel

The location is excellent. The staff is very pleasant, always ready to help. They gave me a bicycle to explore the city and surroundings. They found answers to all my questions—from train timetables to printing my boarding pass and advice on the safety of cycling routes outside the city. The kitchen is excellently equipped.

In plain cecenter of Celje, easily accessible by bike. Nice alt vibes.

Locker room for bike should be advertised. But it’s available, great!

I'd booked a single room and was informed on arrival that they'd overbooked so it wasn't available. I was offered the twin instead but at a higher rate. I protested as it had been their mix up and they did then reduce the rate but it was a conversation I would have rather not had after a long train! Rooms were pretty compact as was the shower and I found the shared toilets not maintained well. Also they advertised free coffee but I couldn't find anything in the kitchen (nor a kettle). Finally the opening hours are far too late at 4pm (latest I've ever seen in a hostel or hotel in Europe) and the reception is closed beforehand so can't leave bags. All in all, I felt it was overpriced.
