Location. and the character of the property.
Replace the TV - sound is awful.

A hugely characterful old building right in the centre of Ghent, opposite Gravensteen. The accommodation is well appointed with everything you need for a short stay. Lydia is a first class host.
With the building being so old there are some limitations to be expected - the Ghent festival meant very loud music until 1am could be heard as little sound proofing and the very steep stairs to the top floor bedroom could be difficult for some people.

The location was amazing! You can see the castle from the window. Everything is 5 minutes walking distance. They give you restaurant recommendations. The property manager was very helpful and responsive.
The stairs to go on the third floor are very steep. Shower was very dirty. The mat on the floor was moldy.
