The decoration and the artwork is beautiful.
Everyday someone tried opening the door while I was sleeping and that woke me up, but then I told them to leave and they did.

Every bit as spectacular as other reviewers have described it. Not crazily priced either. The location could not be better right near the port and beach and there is a real wow factor on arrival, and when you get to your room that continues. Huge palatial room (Rm 21). The ceilings! It has air con but with temperatures in mid-August about 15 degrees lower than Marrakesh we did not need it. The bathroom has a huge marble bathtub that has seen better days but stand in it for an excellent shower. Bidet proved very useful (say no more)! Did not use the TV but the wifi works well. Bed huge and very clean, smelled good. There is a lift. There is also a seating area on the roof with views of the port and beach. Breakfast is 0830-1030 but that suited us ... it is the standard Moroccan fare, but with eggs delivered in mini tagines. You can have it delivered to your room for no charge. Various massages offered for ££ though we did not have time to experience them. This place is not 5 star but you will definitely enjoy your stay here if you aren't used to royal levels of opulence. The hotel opposite has a rather cool, European style bistro on the roof with really excellent views (and a live dj at times) which we recommend (and claims to serve 'British fish and chips').
Morocco seems to have a legal requirement for dodgy bedside lamps. The one in Rm 21 (right side) will stay on if you insert the plug just right in the socket. The room is intrinsically dark, though well lit, and the issue with most riads is air circulation ... at the time we stayed nothing would dry in the room (whereas a few 100 km away in Marrakesh stuff would dry overnight) leading to some musty smells. The buttons in the lift are kind of random, requiring you to press the up arrow that is where the 1 should be to access the ground floor. It doesn't fill you with confidence when the alarm button is also sideways! Our breakfast guy was not on the ball at all and it dawned on us as the items on our table slowly came together that we would need to ask for our regulation cheesy triangles, marmalade and honey.

The location is nice and the room has a bathtub.
Not good value for money. Exaggerated decoration and poor sound insulation. The worst was the smell of sewage in the room that was really disgusting. Stay away from this hotel. We stayed only one night due to change in plans and the choice for air-conditioned. We recommend staying the the Riad Babette, that was nice, clean and staff wonderful.
