Die Lage dieses Hotels in der Altstadt ist hervorragend. Ca. 5 Gehminuten zu Fuß zum Hafen, wo die Gorch Fock 1 liegt, in unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es Geschäfte (Lebensmittel, aber auch andere), Apotheken, Cafés und Restaurants. Der Bahnhof liegt etwa 15 Gehminuten entfernt, der Badestrand ist auch etwa 15 bis 20 Gehminuten entfernt. Die Inhaberin und das Personal sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man hat sich sehr willkommen und wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück ist sensationell gut. Sehr liebevoll angerichtet, ohne jegliche Plastikkleinstverpackungen. Es gibt zum Hotel ein kleines Café, wofür täglich frischer Kuchen gebacken wird. Davon profitiert auch das Frühstücksbüffet. Täglich frischer Kuchen, immer etwas anderes. Es gibt eine Fischplatte, eine Wurstplatte, eine Käseplatte, viele Kleinigkeiten, die in süßen Schälchen serviert werden (Krabbensalat, Oliven usw.), kleine Spieße (Käse, Olive, Schwarzbeere), Cerealien, Marmelade und Honig, Tomate/Mozzarella, verschiedene Senfsorten, Nachtisch, Eierspeisen, Obst und Rohkost. Man kann gar nicht alles aufzählen. Kaffee oder Tee wird frisch serviert. Das Hotel ist ein sehr altes Haus mit Geschichte. Wunderbar restauriert und trotzdem den Charme erhalten, dadurch gibt es allerdings auch ein paar Unebenheiten auf dem Boden. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß und mit Wasserkocher ausgestattet (Kaffee und Tee gab es dazu).

Ein Ganzkörperspiegel im Zimmer hat mir persönlich etwas gefehlt.

We liked the location in city center, size of the room, quirky room design and excellent breakfast served in the garden.

We experienced a small language barrier -> first I parked in (city-owned) underground garage next to the hotel. After check-in, we got offered to park in hotel parking lot for much better price and the receptionist went to wait at the hotel parking gate until I move the car. Unfortunately my parking ticket got corrupted and I had to spend 30min on phone (via ticket machine) with the parking company to sort out the situation, while having no signal on my phone to call hotel/spouse. This has not impressed the receptionist, who returned back to the hotel and then initially refused to come again to open the gate once I have resolved the situation and managed to get out of the garage. Due to language barrier I was not able to explain what has happened, which left everyone in unpleasant mood. To hotel employees -> I really apologize for the situation, I was stuck in garage in foreign country trying to call garage support in foreign language, without being able to call anyone to explain what was happening. To everyone else -> contact hotel couple minutes prior to coming to the hotel so they can open the gate for you, or park the car on the side of the road and request the receptionist to open the gate. Do not make the same mistake as I did and avoid the public garage

Výborná lokalita velice blízko centra města. Pěkné pokoje a pohodlné pokoje. Snídaně formou bufetu velmi chutné.

Pokud přijedete větším vozidlem výška nad 2.1 m tak se špatně hledá místo k zaparkování. Na ulici jsou zákazy zastavení a nejbližší parkoviště ( podle googlu) neexistuje

Great location with everything in walking distance. breakfast buffet is quite big and diverse. Room was quite big and interior had a very authentic and unique design. Not the usual boring mainstream hotel design.

We asked for check-in between 18:00 and 19:00. It said on the website it would only be possible until 18:00 but we hoped for flexibility but did not notice the request was declined (first time ever someone did that on booking.com to me in 15 years). We arrived 18:45 and when reaching the receptionist got a short grumpy reply that they left already and we are "blocking" a room since the morning. After multiple apologies from our side the agreed to drop the key in a safe key at the front door for us to pick up (Why not in the first place?!?) We went for dinner in the meantime, customer service should look different
