Die 5 Punkte sind allemal berechtigt!!! In diesem Haus ist wirklich an alles gedacht! Suchten wir mal nach etwas, wußten wir, wir würden es finden, denn Michele und seine Frau haben alles so eingerichtet, als würden sie selbst dort wohnen. Wer rechnet schon in einem Ferienhaus mit wunderbaren flauschigen Bademänteln und -schlappen, vielen Shampoo- und Cremepröbchen - mehr als ich je in einem sehr guten Hotel fand-, immer wieder kleinen Geschenken bei der Ankunft und am Morgen..... Der Pool war immer sehr gut gesäubert und sehr gut zu nutzen. Der Ort ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für die Besichtigung vieler wunderbarer Orte in der Toskana. Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen (die bereits erwähnte Schnellstraße störte nicht, war aber eben zu hören). Doris B.

Fantastic place for families that are seeking for a gateway from the daily town stress! At "il Villino di Cortona" every thing is taken care, the only thing you need is to relax and enjoy the place. Besides the host of the house is very friendly and service minded. This was our first time at this place and for sure it won't be our last !!

We have just returned from a fabulous two weeks at this lovely house. The bedrooms and bathrooms are great and the sitting room, (whilst a very small seating area which could be too small if you had bad weather) is adequate. It is just as you see in the pictures. Unlike other villas we have stayed in you are provided with robes, slippers, toiletries, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, toilet rolls. It is like staying in a hotel! Michele, the owner, could not have been more attentive, you could ask him anything and every so often we would go outside to a gift of wine and leaflets on the local area. He cleaned the pool most mornings and mid holiday they did a full clean and bedding change. The location is perfect to visit lots of gorgeous places, Siena, Montepulciano, Castiglione del Largo and Cortona which is the nearest town really is lovely. The co-op is only 5-10 mins away for food shopping. The station is 5 minutes away which we used for a lovely stress free trip to Florence. Our 8yr old twins absolutely loved the pool and Michele kept it perfect. It is a bit salty and is not heated but in our second week when the temperature was in the 30's we didn't need it heating! We cannot recommend this house enough and we are already looking at dates when we can go back. Just perfect!!!

Der Vermieter ist ausgesprochen freundlich und reagiert sofort, wenn man Fragen hat. Alle zwei Tage wurden wir am Morgen mit einem Tablett, das auf einem Gartentisch stand, mit Plätzchen, Wein, Obstdosen, Marmeladen und Info-material zur Umgebung überrascht. Das Haus ist sehr sauber. Es gibt ein geräumiges SZ mit großem Bad und ein kleineres SZ mit kleinerem Bad. Der Aufenthaltsraum mit Küchenzeile ist bei kühlen Temperaturen (wir waren im April dort) für zwei Personen groß genug, für vier Erwachsene eher etwas eng. Der Herd (4-flammig) und Dunstabzug funktionieren gut. Die Beleuchtung über dem Herd könnte besser, heller sein. Das Trinkwasser kommt aus einer Zisterne und ist wohl deshalb stark gechlort. Wir haben zum Kochen Wasser aus gekaufen Flaschen benutzt. Auch wenn es uns nicht wirklich gestört hat: Das angekündigte freie Wifi /WLAN funktionierte nur an einem Tag kurzzeitig und langsam. Wichtig war uns im April die gut funktionierende Heizung, die es am Abend gemütlich machte. Das gesamte Grundstück ist sehr groß (wohl ca. 2.000 m²) und sehr gepflegt und der (abends beleuchtete) Pool (Tiefe max. 2 m, Fläche ca. 6m * 10m plus Treppe) muss im Sommer ein Oase sein. Unter dem großen Carport stehen mehrere Fahrräder zur Verfügung. Die Lage des Objekts ist hervorragend. Sehr gute Anbindung über die Landstraße und Autobahn zu den nahegelegenen kulturell sehr interessanten Städten und in die typische Landschaft der Toskana. Je nach Windrichtung kann man die Autobahn im Garten etwas hören. In der direkten Nachbarschaft gibt es zwei kleine! landwirtschaftliche genutzt Grundstücke. Wir würden das Haus auch guten Freunden weiterempfehlen.

It's a very nice house with a big well maintained garden. The location is perfect, you can get in no time on autostrada. Very centrally located to be able to visit Florence, Perugia, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Siena, etc. all in one holiday. A special thank you to the owner Michele who really did his best for us to enjoy the stay. We give 5 stars with no thinking. Really a great experience. We will not hesitate to recommend the house to future guests.

Als langjährige Ferienhaus-Urlauber können wir eines feststellen: so einen perfekten Service haben wir noch nirgends erlebt! Alle zwei Tage früh morgens komplette Reinigung des Außenbereichs (auch des Grills!) und eine kulinarische Überraschung im Fresskorb (so viel kann man im Urlaub gar nicht verbrauchen...) Alle Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs (Hygieneartikel, Tabs für Wasch- und Spülmaschine, Pads für Espressomaschine, Grillkohle usw.) waren mehr als reichlich vorhanden. Ein 5 Sterne Hotel würde vor Neid erblassen! Michele versorgte uns auch mit vielen Tipps zu Ausflügen und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung. Er hat ALLES getan, um unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Vielen Dank dafür! Ein wirklich besonderes Haus, das wir uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen! Die Planungen für einen nächsten Urlaub sind schon am Laufen... Ein rundum perfekter Urlaub in der wunderschönen Toskana. Grazie Mille, Michele!

Michelle ist der perfekte Gastgeber. Er ist freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Die Anreise war bereits ab 12 Uhr möglich. Michelle hat uns erwartet und nett begrüßt. Er hat uns alles gezeigt und erklärt. Das Haus und das Grundstück sind sehr gepflegt. Zur Begrüßung hat er Kuchen und Wein vorbereitet. Das Haus hat seinen eigenen Charakter. Die 2 Schlafzimmer mit angrenzenden Badezimmern sind toll ausgestattet. Der Pool ist traumhaft. Michelle kommt alle 2 Tage, ganz früh, wenn die Urlauber noch schlafen und reinigt diesen. Dabei ist er sehr diskret. Er hat uns regelmäßig mit tollen Überraschungen versorgt. Für Fragen ist er per Handy jederzeit erreichbar. Grazie du tutto

We visited Il Villino di Cortona in August 2013 and couldn't wait to return to the house and the area. We stayed again for 2 weeks in August 2015 and the villa was just the same with some great improvements of outdoor rattan furniture to sit and relax in on a night. Michele, the owner is so attentive without being intrusive and is always contactable by text. Unlike other holiday rentals you are provided with all the extras (dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, washing liquid etc) and then some mornings you wake up to baskets of juice, pastries and wine with leaflets on the local area. Such a lovely touch. The only very TINY negative points are, the depth and lovely large size of the pool means that it's temperature can stay cool and there are days when you wish it was heated. The wi-fi is very slow compared to UK broadband and did frustrate the children (however it meant they read a lot more rather than being attached to technology which is never a bad thing!). The only English satellite TV channels were two news channels as all the rest were mainland Europe. Suggested improvements would be, an additional freezer in the room where the washer is kept as the fridge freezer is very small, some plastic wine glasses (and a wine cooler!) and plastic normal glasses to use outside. We love the fact that you can easily drive to Camucia station and catch the train into Florence (1hr 20mins) so we spent a night there. Pisa was only 2hr drive, Perugia is 30mins and lovely, Castiglion del Largo is stunning and only 20mins drive and Cortona is 10mins away. You will never run out of places to visit. We would definitely return in the future.

Meine Schwester, mein Hund und ich verbrachten hier eine entspannte Urlaubswoche. Von der Abholung an der Autobahn bis hin zu den kleinen Geschenken am Morgen - Michele hat für alles gesorgt und uns immer wieder überrascht! Das Haus und der Service sind wirklich wie von den anderen Gästen beschrieben, es fehlt an nichts. Falls man das Haar in der Suppe suchen und finden möchte: der Aufenthaltsbereich könnte für 4 Erwachsene bei schlechtem Wetter vielleicht etwas geräumiger sein und die Fahrräder bräuchten vielleicht mehr Wartung. Ich war sicher schon mehr als 40 mal in Ferienhäusern in Italien und habe sehr selten ein so schönes Objekt mit einem solchen Service vorgefunden. Das Haus und seine Gastgeber kann ich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder einmal hier unsere Ferien verbringen

Als erfahrene Toskana Urlauber, die bislang in der Nähe Montepulcianos ihr Feriendomizil hatten, muss eindeutig herausgestellt werden, dass Michele mit seiner Villino ein 5-Sterne würdiges Landhaus anbietet, welches wahrhaft keine Wünsche offen lässt! Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und haben den Komfort dieser Unterkunft genossen. Egal ob Waschmaschine, komplett eingerichtete Küche mit Geschirrspüler, Klimaanlage in jedem Raum, überdachter Freisitz, Carport, 2 Erwachsenen- sowie 2 Kinderräder, 2 Grills - man könnte unendlich weiter aufzählen! Jeden Tag frühmorgens hat der Besitzer bereits ohne Lärm den Außenbereich incl. Pool gereingt, am Wochenende hat er mit Ehefrau das Haus komplett gereinigt und die gesamte Wäsche, vom Bademantel bis Handtücher ausgetauscht und die Betten frisch bezogen. Eingebettet in ein typisch ländliches Umfeld ist dieses Landhaus ein Ort der Erholung. Wir haben in den drei Wochen unseres Aufenthaltes wie gewohnt viel in der Umgebung unternommen, egal ob Cortona, Trasimenischer See, Montepulciano etc. alles in Reichweite um 30-40 km und danach Pool und Sonnenuntergang bei einem oder auch mehreren Fläschen Wein genossen! Bleibt der Vollständigkeit halber anzumerken, dass in ca. 600m Entfernung in einer Senke eine autobahnähnliche Schnellstrasse verläuft, von der man bisweilen unterschwellig die Geräusche vorbeifahrender Fahrzeuge mitbekommt. Am Ortsausgang von San Lorenzo, in Richtung Cortona empfehlen wir vor allem für das Wochenende Pizzeria/Ristorante Diligenza, welches neben ausgezeichneter Pizzen nicht nur für den Beefsteak-Fan ein herrliches 600gr Steak zu € 16.- anbietet, sondern auch am Wochenende mit einem Fisch - Menue aufwartet, welches bei freier Auswahl incl. Wein und Wasser nur unglaubliche € 30.- kostet. Alles in allem kann man Villinio di Cortona ruhigen Gewissens noch als Geheimtipp weiter empfehlen - Michele´s Domizil ist 5 Sterne wert!

Lieber Michele, vielen Dank für den super schönen Aufenthalt in Euren Ferienhaus. Der Pool ist einfach super schön und wird jeden Morgen gereinigt. Das Haus und die Anlage hält Michele täglich in Schuss, wenn man Morgens aufsteht, kann man sicher sein, dass Michele alles wieder hergerichtet hat. Der Service ist einfach nur spitze, Michele und seine Frau sorgen dafür, dass alles tip top gehalten wird. Nach einer Woche werden Handtücher, Bademäntel, Hausschuhe und Bettwäsche gewechselt. Das Haus und der Service von Michele kann auf jeden Fall mit einem 5 Sterne Hotel mithalten. Vielen Dank für den super tollen Aufenthalt! Michael, Christiane, Hanna u. Who wants to spend a week or two weeks in Tuscany, we recommend staying at the VILLINO DI CORTONA. We will be in the countryside, but just 5 km there is all shops and center Cortona is 7 km. Near: Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, Trasimeno lake, etc.

We decided to spend a few days in Tuscany. We stayed at the villa Mr. Michele. Excellent value for money (price to be holiday, but as in 4 star hotel) advised. You will find yourself in the countryside. The owner does not disturb. Most days you will find the pool clean and brochures for events. We will come back again next year. May 2013

From the moment we made contact with the owner Mr. Michele Salvietti, we had a good feeling about this place. The owner is very friendly and gives you all the information you need, so don't be afraid to ask him what you want/need to know. When we arrived, Mr. Michele waited for us at the exit of the motorway, which is near by. The location is excellent as a fall out base for many visits to beautiful cities in the neighbourhood : Perugia, Siena, Montepulciano, Assisi... & of course the lovely Cortona as the nearest. The house itself is a dream! It was renovated some two years ago and is now in a outstanding condition. You can find all the comfort you need here and more : 2 bathrooms, fully equiped kitchen with dishwasher, wifi, BBQ, bathrobes, bikes, washing machine... During our stay, it was daily about 35° C, but you have airconditioning in all rooms. And when we arrived, everything was fresh & clean. It couldn't have been better! The outside swimming pool is a beauty! The owner will make sure that it is clean during the visit, so he comes by once and a while when necessairy. You ask him anything you want to know & need, he's most kind. Because the house is near a motorway, which is an excellent base to start your visits, you may hear some noise during the evening/night. That the only reason why we should rate it 4 and a half stars in stead of 5. But we'll definitely come back!

Il Villino was truly a very nice place for us to spend a holiday. The house is very well equipped and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and luxurious. The living room was fine for the two of us, but might be somewhat small for a larger family that likes to spend some time inside. Outside you have a large private area. Apart from the very nice swimming pool, we especially liked sitting under the verandah in the evening hours. The car can be parked under a roof. The house lies in the countryside, close to San Lorenzo and with some farms nearby. It has easy access to road/highway network, and many touristic sites in Tuscany and Umbria are easy to reach by car. Michele was a wonderful host. We very much appreciated his genuine yet discrete concern.

Il villino è molto bello, è appena restaurato e il lavoro è stato fatto con cura e gusto. E' dotato di ogni comfort: -televisore nel salotto/cucina e in ogni camera, -impianto stereo con radio e lettore cd -cucina attrezzata con piano cottura, frigorifero capiente, forno, lavastoviglie, con tutte le stoviglie e gli utensili necessari, -aria condizionata in tutti gli ambienti, -2 bagni con piatto doccia grandi, -camera matrimoniale grande con armadio capiente, -asciugamani e lenzuola, -lavanderia ben attrezzata con lavatrice, asse e ferro da stiro, stendino e giochi per la piscina. In poche parole non manca nulla!!! All' esterno troverete un bel giardino ampio curato, una veranda con sedie e tavolo dove fare colazione o consumare i pasti, troverete il posto per l'auto coperto con vicino i giochi per bambini, le biciclette e il barbecue e la piscina. La piscina è molto bella (di notte s'illumina stupenda per chi vuole fare il bagno alla sera o solo per godersi l'atmosfera) ed è dotata di solarium ampio, di sdrai e ombrelloni, dal solarium si può godere di una vista stupenda sulla vallata, sulle colline che circondano la casa e si intravede poco distante Cortona (cittadina molto bella da visitare arroccata sul fianco della collina). La posizione è perfetta per rilassarsi e recuperare le energie, il posto è tranquillo immerso nel verde. Ma è anche perfetta per fare escursioni e gite alla scoperta di questo magnifico pezzo di toscana, si possono visitare Cortona, Montepulciano, il lago Trasimeno, siti e tombe etrusche, Siena, Perugia, Arezzo, le Cascate delle Marmore (eccezionali), le Grotte di Frasassi. Per chi ama fare delle camminate, dal Villino partono tante strade bianche dove non passano praticamente auto. I proprietari sono gentili, affabili e discreti, attenti al dettaglio nell'arredare, nella pulizia e nella cura degli ambienti. Siamo stati molto bene, dunque ve lo consigliamo!!!

Il Villino è veramente splendido, così come il posto, immerso nel verde e punto di partenza perfetto per visitare Cortona, Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano e le località del Trasimeno. La pulizia, la comodità e i servizi offerti dal casolare, tutto nuovo e confortevole, uniti alla cordialità e disponibilità dei proprietari, hanno reso le nostre settimane di vacanza davvero speciali! Ottimo sia per chi desidera trascorrere giorni nel relax più totale, tra un tuffo in piscina e una cena in giardino, sia per chi intende usare il villino come 'base' da cui partire per visite turistiche in terra toscana. Massima soddisfazione!
