Everything is amazing, would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Absolutely amazing. First off, Harry was absolutely amazing. He is extremely helpful and intelligent. He always was able to help us with anything and advocated for us and even gave us a list of places to go around town. His lead michalis was extremely helpful and kind as well. All the staff were amazing and the breakfast is the best I have ever had. You will absolutely not be disappointed and I know where I will be staying my next stay in Crete.

Nice stay at Castello

Thank you for your warmful welcomming, very professional crew at the reception and the restaurant. Room ok, restaurant ok. Good location at the center of town. A very nice traditionnal hotel. It wasn't my first time, it won't be the last one. Above all, special thanks for the crew of this hotel : nice relationship with guests.

Nightmare!

Not one thing.

DON'T STAY HERE! This hotel listing is a fraud and the photos on the listing are a gross misrepresentation of the truth. See attached pictures for true representation. We booked a "deluxe room with sea view." The bed mattress was old and collapsed in the centre. There were various stains on the walls. None of the furniture matched the pictures advertised. The refrigerator did not work. Everything was tired, grimey and outdated. We told the staff we were unhappy with the room, they first offered us a mattress topper. They then showed us an alternative room which they considered an upgrade - it faced a concrete wall and was in an even worse state - we declined both. Once realising we had no options left that were satisfactory, we packed our bags and left - we found another hotel close by for the same price which was exceptional, shoutout to Ibis Styles Heraklion Central, saved our trip! We contacted Booking.com and the hotel. The hotel refused to co-operate nor refund us. Booking.com investigated and informed us the hotel will not co-operate with them either, however Booking.com apologised and partially refunded us as a gesture of good faith for our traumatising experience.

Location was great. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Room was tired. Beds were uncomfortable. Advertised shuttle service to airport - This was my main reason for booking. Turns out that they only offer to ring for taxis on your behalf. We ended up having to pay for 2 taxis to the airport. A little disappointing.

Good location, short walk to the centre and still possible to park.

The bathroom was dirty, the shower door was not cleaned and had stains from previous showers. The pillows are huge and the bed mattresses way too soft making for a really uncomfortable sleep. The furniture was all scratched in many places from daily use. Rooms that face the back are like prison cells, they should be half price, even less. Very poor value for money, overall. But to be fair this applies to most of Heraklion hotels and rooms to let.

Breakfast buffet is great with plenty of choice. Powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Room cleanliness is good and staff are pleasant and helpful.

The elevator could do an update/service.

24-hour desk helps with late arrivals on the last flight. Most of the staff communicate confidently in English. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is very good.

Two single beds to make a double bed? The touch screen in the room didn't work but it wasn't necessary. Some old items were left in the fridge from a previous customer. That's a bit slack.

NOT SUITABLE FOR DISABLED GUESTS.

Staff were friendly. Food in restaurant was really nice and value for money. Nice breakfasts available (service very hit and miss). Room decent in size - 612 on side of hotel - very little natural sunlight due to enormous palm tree leaves blocking most light out. There was an old fashioned "safe" in the bedroom - BUT NO KEY to lock or unlock.

As a disabled person my review is based on disabled facilities.... THIS HOTEL IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DISABLED GUESTS... no hearing loop for deaf guests, elevator not suitable for wheelchairs, no ramps, no gri0rails (incl bathrooms) and NO PATKING on site - Hotel advertises FREE parking is available. NO ONSITE PARKING (SEND YOU TO A PARKING GARAGE 800M AWAY)... meanwhile very easy to actually have parking at hotel entrance if the rental car agency moved their cars. BEDS could do with new matrasses. Located at very busy and noisy public intersection - lots of noise till 1.30am Public disabled parking outside hotel MAFIA STYLE run - "belongs to who ever owns the store immediatelyat parking space" - BOTH VERY CLOSE BLUE BADGE SPACES in front of PHARMACIES - who threatened to call police (see images).

In my opinion, the hotel is great. Clean, well-kept and very urolkiwy. The staff tries to help in every situation. The staff are open-minded and very friendly. The breakfasts are very tasty.
