It was a bit sad that the hot tubs were frozen over sort of seems a bit odd that hot tubs would freeze - it was such a nice setting it would’ve been nice to be in them

Great stay for 1 night stop with kids
Great place for 1 night to break our trip to itlay. The pool was great for the kids. The bfast was great and also the size of the room.
We had dinner at the hotel because it was convenient for us. We found it pricy for the quality of food and portion size. 39 euro per person for small soup, small cordonbleau plus fries, 3 small slides of cheese.

Not brilliant but hospitable.
I thought the young man serving breakfast was both good and kind. Our dog felt at home in the hotel. Parking was also positive.
On a very busy and loud road with trucks going by every few minutes. The coffee machine at breakfast needed to be constantly cleaned.

Food in restaurant was good. Comfortable beds, spacious room and bathroom. Attentive, friendly service.
Outdated, tired interior. Bare balconies (no plantings), view of half-finished building site at the back, frayed cushions on loungers/outside furniture. Partially scruffy state doesn't warrant the 4* in my opinion. And situation right on main road makes it an OK place to stay overnight on a journey but not 2 nights to have a relaxing weekend as we had planned.

Perfect Black Forest Winter Holiday Location
We would highly recommend this lovely, family run hotel in the most beautiful setting in the Black Forest. Perfect to access spectacular landscapes and hiking trails in the nearby National Park areas. The spa facilities are very good and we had a thoroughly relaxing winter holiday. The food is also exceptional - it is delicious and varied and really reflects the regional cuisine while also catering for vegan diet if preferred. Breakfast, lunch buffet, and 4 course dinner were all a highlight of our trip and good value too. The room was spacious but cosy with a lovely large balcony too.
The only thing we would change to make the stay a 10/10 is the comfiness of the beds. The mattresses were soft enough but not as supportive as we would like. We also had two single beds put together to make a double but they moved across the floor so that the gap kept widening.
