The hotel is located in the middle of a park — a magical place with a great park and a lake nearby for walks. The breakfast was tasty, and there weren’t too many people overall.

The room was quite small, reasonably clean, but had an old-fashioned interior.

Overall a good value for the price. Great location next to the park. Delicious breakfast.

Room care could be better. The coffee box was not filled, no sugar, no whitener, no nothing. The handkerchief box in the bathroom was empty. In my colleague's room the soap bottle in the shower was empty. All that at the beginning of the stay. On my last stay before, I forgot a shirt in the room. From a 4-star hotel, I'd actually expect to be contacted in such a situation, but did not happen. Overall small things, and I'll surely come back. But definitely not a 4-star treatment.

The tv didn’t have English channels or streaming options and the beds were just twins pushed together would have preferred a proper double bed.

Nature Vibe in Cologne

The location at first was a bit far, but when we woke up to the chirping birds and nice weather, we realized this was the best place we stayed in Europe so far. The nature around us was the best part, there is a river at the back of the hotel and a park where we could jog. The hotel was indeed a 4-star hotel that is on par with the ones we stayed in Dubai. The place was very relaxing and gave us the rest period in our weary but fun travel plans in Germany.

It's just far away from the train, about 6-7 minutes walk. Since my ankle is injured, it took me 10 minutes to get there. Luckily, there are Tier and Bolt scooters around, which hastened my trips from the hotel to the train and back.

You need take a bus from City Center to this hotel, but it doesnot take too long (around 10 mins). The room (around 12 m^2) is not big as described at Booking (22 m^2).

Absolutely amazing place for a family stay

Superb location on a lake and a wonderful Tierpark nearby, plus good cycling infrastructure around that allows easily moving around and to the city center on a bike. A bus and tram stations, Rewe grocery store in a few minutes of walking. Friendly stuff, excellent breakfasts, and totally exceeded expectations. Highly recommended!

The rooms are dated, and what upgrades have been done are of poor quality. We requested 2 extra pillows 2 days in a row but were informed they had no more available. It made the comfort level for sleeping much less than it could have been.

Staff was amazing. Such amazing customer service. Food was great to amazing. Lunch was very big and filling. Hotel has a scenci location in a park. Try to get a room with a view to the lake. Very very pretty!

Adequate place to lay down your head

Nice area (park, restaurant, shop) and the hotel is well connected with the city center. The rooms are clean and quite modern. The breakfast is really ok.

The place does not have a shoe cleaning machine (I thought it was hotel-standard). The staff not too helpful nor nice. No ironing equipment in the room (I was borrowed some "baby board"). The hotel is "royal" mostly by its name.. :-(
