Lovely breakfast choice with excellent gluten free full English. Dinner was superb - beautiful Bream- and excellent service in the restaurant. The hotel staff were welcoming and attentive and we enjoyed relaxing in the lounge in front of an open fire. The bed was super comfy and we appreciated the melt-in-the mouth shortbread biscuits and fresh fruit in the room. This is a hotel where guests are made to feel special.

On the edge of the beautiful Dales village of Austwick the Traddock has a great country house feel and we particularly enjoyed the roaring log fire . Very comfortable bed and a good cooked breakfast.
Nothing to dislike. Being picky some croissants/pastries at breakfast would be nice . The brasserie food is “fancy” more than hearty but that’s a matter of taste and it was good.

The food was excellent, particularly the breakfast and lunch but the dinner - we had two starters each fell a little short. Accomodation was excellent within the confines of the property - there was no lift to the first floor, but we coped ok.

Beautiful setting, lovely hotel, Nice & peaceful, good breakfast, great break away 😊
Nice & clean even though dogs are allowed.
Rather a rude receptionist on arrival, a little abrupt with us as regards checking in & restaurant booking for that evening!
All other staff were lovely 😍

Comfortable, lovely gardens, good food
Dog friendly
Shame we couldn’t eat breakfast or dinner outside in such perfect weather.
Nice to be able to eat in the bar area but the 2 tables are very close together which can be difficult with nervous or excitable dogs and could have been easily overcome by having our meals outside.
We had a lovely big room but really didn’t need a bath in it. The shower was really good and a bigger more modern television would have been appreciated a lot more than a bath in the room!
Some of the decor in the main areas looking a bit tired.

Breakfast was excellent; they found a place to securely lock our bikes overnight (even though there are some Sheffield cycle stands outside); the evening meal was exceptional, wine choice great and beer very drinkable :-)

Beautiful building in lovely gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
We had to move rooms after our first night which was a bit inconvenient. We only found out that this was necessary after we had made the booking. The staff moved our things for us and both rooms were very nice. However, it would have been good to know that they needed to move us at the time of booking.

Great breakfast and nice facilities in the room. The room was clean and tidy. One front desk staff member we spoke to was lovely and really helpful and the waiter at breakfast was excellent. Very pretty building with nice gardens and a nice location.
Dinner options were limited and expensive, we opted to eat elsewhere. The shower wasn’t very powerful and the bathroom was quite cramped. The room was at the top of the hotel so very hot and we were only provided with a thicker duvet, summer duvets would have been better. Also the other member of staff was a little on the rude side after we asked for something which they refused but another member of staff had said we could ask for.

Great location for walking in the Dales. Comfortable beds, good breakfast. Very welcoming of our dog. Nice lounge area for evenings.
Top floor was a little warm (July) with small window. A sheet beneath the duvet would have given us the option for fewer layers and a more comfortable sleep on a summer's night. Will try to remember to request next time. :)

Incredible accommodation! One of the few hotels left in this country where English traditions meets modern demands! The Traddock is not one of those many ‘modernised’ English hotels which look as the same interior designer had designed them in order to give them a ‘modern look’ - it still has its English charm and style. The rooms were stylish, super clean, perfectly equipped with all the ‘extras’ you wish for…- and on top of it an amazing dinner!!
Nothing to mention- a perfect hotel!

We stayed in a beautiful, spacious room. There was so much attention to detail and everything felt luxurious, even down to full size Mokton Brown toiletries for the comfort and convenience of guests. Our waiter for our evening meal was very attentive and very charming. There was a very charming sitting room with an open fire and candles. The fire and candles were also lit at breakfast time which felt very welcoming and luxurious. The food was also excellent.
There seemed to be a lot of door slamming as the property settled for the night but thankfully this did not continue during the night and did not detract from how much we loved our stay. This was, after all, caused by other guests.

Terrific location on the outskirts of the pretty Dales village of Austwick. Helpful staff made the stay a joy. Breakfast was at a high level. We did not dine at the Traddock but would love to try the food next time.

The property is set in a beautiful location with easy access to many places such as Settle and Ingelton Waterfalls trail.
Staff are very welcoming and professional, they went out of the way to make sure we were comfortable. The room was luxurious with Molton Brown products, and home made shortbread. Staying at the hotel is pricey but you do get quality, we enjoyed our vegetarian breakfasts each day (the vegetarian black pudding) was delicious.
would definitely return, the train from Settle to Carlisle is a must, best views ever!
We are in the restaurant on the first night, I appreciate it’s an award winning restaurant but I would have liked some simpler dishes as we do not eat meat to the menu was very limited for us.

Breakfast adequate I am a chef and when I do egg Benedict I give both halves of the muffin plus 2 poached eggs not the half and 1 egg which was what I received. The room was only a big as the travel lodges we had been staying in for the past month and the restaurant evening meal menu very overpriced
