Wow. Now this is what I call a great hotel. Here are the information about my stay: The room was so clean and the beds were super comfortable. The lunch and dinner and the breakfast too were all super tasty. When we slept, we didn’t get disturbed at all. And the staff were nice and the location was perfecto. So overall, this hotel met our expectations. I will definitely come back to this beautiful hotel, which I recommend visiting it!

Great location, friendly and helpful staff who made you feel very comfortable. Extremely clean facilities and the hotel was beautiful inside and out.

The room was well laid out and facilities were ok. Could have done with a bottle of water in the room as we experience this in other hotels. Perhaps a mini bar and more hot drink facilities. We don’t have any robes either.

Location OK

Poor value for money due to insufficient quality. Not that clear as expected. Staff doesn’t know what’s on the menu nor meaning of the dishes.

It was nice, but from a Van Der Valk I had higher expectations.

I liked the room and the bathtub, the large bed and the pool

That there were two blankets on the large double king bed instead of one large one. Also the light in the toilet goes on by movement that a sensor detects. This is ok during day but at night its uncomfortable when you're trying to sleep and you get so much bright light that you cant turn off.

Hôtel itself was very nice. The room was perfect, not tiny, not noisy and clean. From the picture, I thought the gym was small but it was actually good. I didn’t check the swimming pool though but my sister told me it was very nice. There is a bus to the centre 2min walk from the hotel. And if no bus, it is only 30min walk, so good location. Free parking which is convenient when your stay several days.

The only negative point is that the breakfast was the same price for an adult and a child, knowing that a 8 year old doesn’t eat that much.

I liked that we had 3 real beds in our rooms instead of having a sofa-bed. This made it comfortable for my 2 children.

Worth visiting for the food alone.

I had dinner in the brasserie and the food was excellent. I suspect the main restaurant menu was more extensive but I was delighted by the quality of each course and they type of food offered. Well located for the University campus, which was relevant for me. About 10 mins walk to nearest train station. So not so good for Central Maastricht.

The air conditioning wasn't working. Apparently due the time of year being cooler according to reception, but that meant to get air into the room meant having the windows open onto a busy road. This seemed rather odd.
