Amendoeira's terrace with river view

Gute Lage in Alfama. Besonders gefallen hat uns die Aussicht vom Balkon. Die Wohnung ist alt mit Charme. In der Nähe gibt es mehrere Lokale, Minimarkt und die Linie 28. Die Kommunikation mit der Unterkunft hat ausgezeichnet funktioniert.

Das Wohnungsschloß funktioniert nicht richtig. Das öffnen war jedesmal ein Glücksspiel und hat gedauert. Die Badezimmertür ist verzogen, hat dadurch geklemmt und konnte nur mit lautem Knarren geschlossen werden.

Ganz, wie in der Beschreibung ist die Wohnung eingerichtet. Alles war sauber und zweckmäßig. Zur Begrüßung wartete eine Flasche Rotwein auf uns. Dafür ein liebes Dankeschön. Die Betten sind super, wir haben gut geschlafen. Das die Wohnung schnell fußläufig zur bekannten Straßenbahn 28 lag, hat und sehr gut gefallen. Somit war man in ein paar Minuten im Zentrum Lissabons. Auch ein kleines Geschäft, eine Bäckerei mit Café und Restaurants sind in Wohnungsnähe. Wer gut zu Fuß ist, ist hier richtig, denn, in die Wohnung müssen einige Treppenstufen bewältigt werden. Die Straßen sind eng, unregelmäßig gepflastert und haben Steigungen. Also nicht zu empfehlen für Menschen mit Beschwerden beim Laufen.

Ich habe sehr bedauert, den code zur Eingangstür und Wohnung nicht früher erhalten zu haben Das Internet ist vor Ort nicht gut. Ohne die Hilfe eines Gastwirtes, der mir sein WLAN angeboten hat, wäre ich nicht in das Haus gekommen. Leider ist die Wohnung mit dem Taxi nicht erreichbar, da die Zufahrt gesperrt und nur für einige Anwohner frei ist. Man solle deshalb beim Taxi angeben , daß der Standpunkt zur Anfahrt und Abholung das Restaurant Carvoeiro Calcada de Sao Vicente 70- 72 ist. Dann geht man zu Fuß ca 150m leicht bergan.In der Wohnung selbst wären einige Reparaturen notwendig. Der Wasserhahn in der Küche tropft ununterbrochen, der Gasboiler ist ausgegangen, die Verputzung des Küchenfenster ist nötig. Im Bad, muß unbedingt der Deckel vom WC repariert werden und auf dem Balkon ein Stuhl. Aber ich empfehle die Wohnung trotzdem gerne weiter.

Located just away from the main tourist area in what appeared to be still a 'locals' area, the apartment is big and airy with an outside area with view of the river. Quite a big apartment so we were able to open windows to get a through breeze at night so did not need the aircon. On tram route 24 which was useful as the supermarket and lovely restaurants were 15 mins walk up the hill from the apartment. Apartment was at the top of the building and the building seemed very safe and secure. In an expensive City, the apartment was good value for money.

The area around the apartment is a but run down but being renovated (gentrified?). It meant some building noise during the day (but we were mostly out) and some noise from the local youth hanging around the square. Didn't feel unsafe, just a bit noisy. Some of the fixtures and fittings were a bit run down. The apartment main door would not 'double' lock.

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment and it had everything we needed and was really clean. Our transfer from airport wasn’t able to drop us off outside apartment but when returning to airport I messaged the people which managed our booking and they arranged for a taxi to pick us up outside so I would definitely recommend this as was so much easier. They were really helpful every time I contacted them. Paulo met us at the apartment and helped us with our cases as its on second floor and give us a detailed tour of the apartment and tips for the area. There’s also plenty of maps and guide books there which was really good. The terrace is lovely and has views of the river and you can also see the old town. There are lots of restaurants and bars around the apartment and its about 25 minute walk to Biaro Alto area which has loads of great bars and restaurants. Pink street was also great and about 30 mins away. We used uber and it was only about 3 euro. They can’t drop you off right outside apartment though but its only 2 mins away so no big deal. I would also recommend timeout market which has loads of great places to eat and drink again only about 30 mins walk. It was great value for money and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this apartment!
