Beautiful apartment - even better then on the pictures, loved the location being so close to the river Host was very responsive and helpful We left a towel after we left and she even washed it before I arranged for it to be picked up!

The walls are indeed thin - we had a group of men next door and it was as if they were in the room - however they were not noisy as such so it was not actually much of a problem Stairs to first floor do not have a handrail (did have ropes on the side to hold on to) - no problem for us but can imagine it might be for some

Stunning riverview and stars at night. Very kind hosts and spotlessly clean apartment which was comfortable and with well equipped kitchen.

I had an important Zoom meeting that wasn't able to happen because the wifi kept dropping.

Rustic getaway on the Semois

The gîte is beautifully situated on the Semois river. It's a quaint, cozy, and quiet place. The neighbouring towns and villages are adorable and the nature in the area beautiful. We brought our two dogs with us and they were very happy to enjoy a few days out of the city. Caroline was welcoming, cheerful, and helpful. I would definitely return!

Als het appartement er naast verhuurd is, is met name de slaapkamer zo gehorig dat het lijkt alsof de buren bij jou binnen lopen. Echt veel te gehorig.

un cadre magnifique et un logement très bien tenu, mais quelques améliorations seraient bienvenues

Le logement est idéalement situé : juste à côté d’un restaurant, parfait pour se restaurer ou simplement boire un verre en toute tranquillité. Le vrai plus, c’est son emplacement en bord de Semois : cela permet de flâner au bord de l’eau, de laisser les enfants jouer à proximité, et aux amateurs de pêche de s’adonner à leur passion tout en restant proche du lieu de séjour. Le logement en lui-même est très propre et parfaitement équipé : nous n’avons manqué de rien durant notre séjour, ce qui est vraiment appréciable.

En revanche, deux points ont malheureusement entaché notre expérience. Le principal souci est l’isolation phonique. Notre chambre était située au 1er étage, et à chaque pas des occupants du 2e étage – même en pleine nuit pour aller aux toilettes – le bruit du plancher était si fort qu’il nous réveillait. Nous avons finalement décidé de dormir au rez-de-chaussée pour retrouver un peu de calme, ce qui est dommage quand on vient chercher du repos. Le second point concerne la présence importante de mouches, apparemment liée à un souci de canalisation. Il serait peut-être intéressant d’investir dans des moustiquaires aux fenêtres et de mettre à disposition des tapettes pour améliorer le confort des locataires.

Er waren erg veel kleine motjes. Het zag er zwart van. En het was erg gehorig. Wij hadden het geluk dat we de meeste tijd geen buren hadden.

Ein unvergesslicher, toller Aufenthalt und Urlaub in den belgischen Ardennen.

Eine Top Lage und Aussicht direkt am Fluss (Semois). Gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung und mit Terrasse und Kaminofen sehr gemütlich. Bei Fragen/Problemen hilft die sehr nette Gastgeberin sofort.

Wenn die Nachbarn über dem Schlafzimmer laufen ist man wach (sehr laut). Toilette im 1. OG (Bad) kaum zu gebrauchen (nur für sehr kleine Menschen). Toilette im EG ist klein aber gut zu benutzen. Heizung könnte etwas wärmer eingestellt werden (selbst nicht regulierbar). Unbedingt das Kleingedruckte bei booking.com lesen. Es kommen noch Extrakosten wie Bettwäsche, Kurtaxe, Strom/Wasser und Feuerholz zum angezeigten Preis hinzu.

De extra kosten: op booking.com klikte ik op 156€ vr 2nachten. Na extra kosten vr kuisen, beddengoed, toeristenbelasting, hond kwam ik op 218€ vr 2nachten. Toch wel groot verschil..
