About this villa rental
This fantastic flat in a villa on the upper floor, with swimming pool, garden and private parking, is located in the centre of Syracuse. It is a recently renovated old Sicilian villa. The interior is accessed via a beautiful staircase that leads directly to the first room consisting of a huge living room, from which a third bedroom can be obtained thanks to a beautiful curtain that closes an elegant round bed that can comfortably accommodate two children or one adult. The living room has a refined sitting area (sofa and armchairs), dining table and chairs, and TV. From here one reaches the kitchen, which is technological and well equipped. A corridor leads us to the two bathrooms (one with bathtub and one with shower) and to the two double bedrooms, which are large, comfortable and very bright. Finally, there are two beautiful terraces overlooking the garden and an archaeological view. The exterior has a beautiful garden of about 2000 square metres with beautiful plants, some very old. Here there is also the charming swimming pool, not very large but really evocative and relaxing. Finally, everything is completed by the private parking area. The property consists of two floors, of which the upper floor is dedicated to guests. On the ground floor, with a separate entrance, live the caretaker and his wife. Naturally, the swimming pool and the garden are for the exclusive use of the guests.

Electricity is included up to a consumption of kWh 150 per week. Any excess will be charged at € 0.50 per kWh.

Notre accueil, tardif, fut un peu retardé par une erreur de clés de la personne qui devait nous accueillir, mais vite rattrapé par sa sympathie et la gentille attention de nous avoir prévu de délicieuses spécialités locales pour le repas du soir car nous arrivions tard.
La maison est meublée avec goût et la piscine, malgré le bruit de fond de la circulation (ce qui est normal en centre ville), très agréable.
MAIS : - chaque nuit d'énormes cafards sortaient de la salle de bain et envahissaient couloir et chambres, très difficile à vivre pour les enfants
- lave-vaisselle en panne toute la semaine de notre séjour, aucune compensation proposée alors que je n'aurais pas réservé ce logement sans ce confort (je ne pars pas en vacances pour être moins confortable que chez moi...)
- four capricieux qui fait sauter les plombs en l'absence de toute autre utilisation électrique, impossible à utiliser
- non mentionné dans l'annonce, la climatisation est payante (150 kWh autorisés par semaine ; en ne la faisant fonctionner que 2 heures chaque soir et sans aucun autre équipement électrique puisque ni four ni lave-vaisselle ne fonctionnaient, nous avons dépassé le forfait inclus... je n'ose imaginer si nous l'avions utilisée davantage).
