Chez Bure - Bure Homestay

Very nice staff and owner there. For 100 Bath you get an excellent breakfast.

The rooms to the street are extremely loud. The kids could sleep, we parents couldn’t. That was a pity. And we booked a bigger room (house) with two rooms and three beds (one kingsize, two single beds). But we got a smaller room with a kingsize and a sofabed. Nevertheless, a nice place with nice people. But you need earplugs.

This homestay was perfect for our stay in Kanchanaburi- the accommodation was spotless, the ladies working here were so friendly and accommodating and the room itself was spacious and comfy. A real highlight was the free snacks offered, especially the delicious breakfast banana muffins. We felt so welcome and safe here.

The 2 rooms we rented were great, clean, and big for the family room with separate bedroom and living room. There is a microwave, fridge, and water available. The great bonus for us was there were unlimited breakfast, sandwiches, and snacks available all day. You can get free water anytime of the day which is great for the family travel. My mom and nieces stay another room with additional bed, which was also great. The purchase breakfast was also great, the price was just right and the variety and health benefit was awesome. The facility people also recommended us for several place to visit and see while we were here for the River Kwai Light and Sound festival. We do recommend this boutique hotel.

The only things that draw back was the location, it is quite far from the River Kwai bridge itself, more than 1.5 km, not easy to walk, we have to rent the motorcycle to pick us up to the event both nights which is not highly convenient. The paid breakfast area is a bit small which if you happened to come during the busy hour, there is might not be table or seat available. So be aware on this if you plan to leave early for the sight seeing tour.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was a nice touch to be greeted with a fruit platter upon arrival, and having free provisions (fruit, sandwiches and sweet treats) available throughout the day. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the kitchenette amenities were particularly useful for our family.

The large balcony was great, but it could do with an awning (to protect you from the blazing sun), as well as some outdoor chairs to go with the table provided.
