A charming, peaceful house set in the countryside at the end of a no-through road, featuring a large terrace with a magnificent view of the valley and the village of Montagnac-la-Crempse. It comprises three bedrooms—each with its own private bathroom facilities (shower, bathtub, or shower room)—and two toilets. There is a living room with a lovely fireplace and a brand-new, fully equipped kitchen. This comfortable, single-story house (140 m²) and its grounds, located in the heart of the Périgord Pourpre, offer the perfect setting for a quiet holiday with family or friends.
For those wishing to explore this wonderful Périgord Pourpre region, there is a wealth of vineyards and culinary delights to enjoy (Monbazillac, Pécharmant, foie gras, duck and goose confit, walnuts, truffles, and ceps), as well as historic architecture, *bastides*, and fortified towns that bear witness to our eventful past (Monpazier, Beaumont, Eymet, Lalinde, Molières, etc.).
Cleaning, heating, and firewood for the living room fireplace are included in the price between November 1st and May 1st.
Heating and firewood are available only between November 1st and May 1st.
Bed linen rental: €12 per bed per stay, payable on-site.

We had a lovely week in spite of the rain. The house was comfortable and in a very quiet spot.

We loved the house the area and the view. The house was well equipped apart from there were no wardrobes or drawers to unpack to so we had to live out of suitcases. The BBQ was unusable as it had never been cleaned. We were surprised not to see anybody during our week there but the beds were made up to our requirements and a bottle of wine left for our arrival.
Would certainly return and recommend the area and the owner was very helpful during the booking process.

A quiet rural retreat but only 20 minutes by car outside Bergerac which has an excellent tourist bureau with free wifi. Le Baylet is really spacious and is well equipped and warmly furnished. We overlooked that the accommodation did not come with bed linen or towels, but the housekeeper went out of her way to assist us and together with the host provided a solution. Once we got the hang of finding the quickest access road and the nearest food provision, Le Baylet proved to be exactly what we were looking for: a place to unwind and enjoy the Dordogne at a quieter pace.
