Good view and big villa

Very good view and big villa, we rented the veranta and has the place for ourselves

There were ants in the big room, not sure where they came from, also the parking along the road is very difficult, it is full of garages and tourists buses pass through the narrow road, be cautious if you are going with a big SUV like me, parking on the road is not possible with such a car

Beautiful mountain villa with a lovely view. Very clean. Super helpful host who answered any questions immediately. We walked to the beach a couple of times and then rented a car from Paleokastritsa. I would recommend car hire from the airport if you can as it would be more convenient.

A great place to rest and relax, surrounded by greenery and with a magnificent view of the mountains

I recently spent 2 weeks at Village House Kalypso and was very happy with my stay. This apartment is in a beautiful location surrounded by greenery and great views of the mountains and sea. I enjoyed the walks in the surroundings. The apartment I booked was comfortable and clean, and it had a balcony with a great view of the mountains. I also appreciated the excellent service and the friendly staff who were very helpful and willing to help me with any questions or requests I had.

A lovely escape into the Corfu landscape, coast and local food!

Everything in the property was exactly as described. It was perfectly clean and comfortable, with beautiful views from the balcony. We did not have any problems with our stay. The hosts were extremely helpful and quick to answer our questions. The area was amazing, with a traditional cafe/bar close by and it felt like an authentic local Greek experience. There are places to eat, drink, buy groceries and souvenirs nearby. Plus the two highest ratest restaurants in the area are accessible by walking. The hosts have good links with local businesses and can make reliable recommendations. We were allowed to use the swimming pool at a nearby hotel too. All of the technology and equipment in the apartment worked well and the hosts went the extra mile to make sure that we had everything we needed. The hosts gave us a good rate on our transport to and from the airport.

The village of Lakones has a small but good range of facilities and is easily accessible. The walk up and down the hill between Lakones and Paleokastritsa was sometimes long and difficult on hot days. We did not realise this so would recommend that people have a vehicle if they want to visit Paleokastritsa or neighbouring villages multiple times during their stay. On the days we hired a quadbike (Spiros Bikes - with recommendation and a discount due to links with the hosts) it was much easier to travel around. Taxis are sometimes difficult to find in Paleokastritsa (make sure you book well in advance).

The apartment was perfect! It was very clean and had everything, what you need to start your vacation. The view from up there was breathtaking. The apartment is in a very good location too. The owner Maria is really nice and ready to help you with anything to make your vacation easier. If I come back to Corfu, I'll definitely rent house Kalypso again.

I don’t think you can ever get tired of the absolutely stunning view you get from this balcony. The flat is located in a cute little village on a hill, it’s lovely, very spacious and equipped with everything you might need. The owner is a most wonderful and helpful person that will promptly assist with any doubt or request. They also run a restaurant in Paleokastritsa that serves absolutely amazing food! Renting a car would be recommended in order to get the most out of the island and also as it’s a steep road up to the village from the beach.

Cats and Views

Apartament was very spacious and absolutly enough for two people. We had everything what we need, we also had a two balconies with breathtaking views. The neighbourhood was quiet and lovely with beatiful cats around. If you want to get a rest from big cities , and be closer to the nature , it is for you.

Localization isn't the best for people without car or something like that because if you wanna go down to Paleokastritsa you have to go through "Donkey Path" which can be tough for people without good stamina.( You can also go through the car road but it might be dangerous)

Thank you Maria for everything. The apartment is wonderful, it has everything you need, two large bedrooms, a wonderful terrace with a spectacular view. The washing machine was a great convenience. I couldn't have dreamed of anything else in Lakones. A wonderful village, wonderful people - in a bakery, restaurant or shops. Peaceful and quiet. Sensational contact with Maria and nice dinner at her Gran Aladino restaurant. I recommend

Gorgeous view and comfortable home in a great spot in Lakones.

Maria was lovely and helpful and you cannot beat the view from the apartment. It is breathtaking. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Great location, near the Donkey Trail down to the beach and close to nice restaurants and a great bakery in Lakones. Very clean and spacious.

I would give a 10 rating but for the bedding and mattress. The bed and pillows were so lumpy it was hard to be comfortable and the linen very dated.

L'alloggio ben organizzato, pulito e con tutto il necessario per la vacanza. Al nostro arrivo, in tarda serata, abbiamo trovato un ben fornito e apprezzato kit di benvenuto (bevande fresche in frigo, biscotti ...) Offre una bellissima vista sulla baia di Palaiokastritsa

Si trovano immondizie abbandonate lungo la strada La strada per raggiungere il paesino di Lakones è stretta e con molti tornanti e spesso si incrociano pullman turistici e si deve fare molta attenzione a non fare incidenti

Вид з вікна / балкона, помешкання добре прибране.

Відсутність мікрохвильової печі, пральна машина 30 літня , ми побоялися нею користуватися. Немає свого паркувального місця, тобто потрібно шукати місце на вулиці, де лише одна полоса якою їздять в тому числі автобуси.

Toilet is geïntegreerd in de badkamer. Bij een accommodatie voor vier personen zou het iets aangenamer zijn om een apart toilet te hebben..

Bello ma....

Appartamento pulito e spazioso, con un eccellente vista sulla baia di Paleokastritsa. I proprietari lasciano un piccolo omaggio di benvenuto consistente in bevande e cibo. L'appartamento è dotato di ogni accessorio e comfort... Stendino, lavatrice, ferro da stiro, ombrellone, coperte e cuscini aggiuntivi. I proprietari sono molto gentili e disponibili e sempre facilmente rintracciabili per ogni evenienza. Ci hanno risolto molto velocemente il problema della linea internet, che non andava quando siamo arrivati.

Se da una parte la vista è eccellente, arrivarci è un dramma. La strada che porta al villaggio di Lakones è una strada in salita con molti tornanti da montagna e in alcuni punti molto stretta. Il vero problema consiste nei continui pullman che fanno su e giù. Se li incontri nei punti stretti devi tornare indietro e molte volte ci si passa al millimetro rischiando continuamente di rigare l'auto (un giorno ne abbiamo incontrati 4 di fila e siamo stati fermi più di 10 minuti aspettando che tutti ci posizionassimo in modo da farli passare). Trovare parcheggio non è poi così facile. Poco più avanti c'è uno spiazzo dove ci stanno al massimo 4 auto e lungo la strada ci sono davvero pochi punti dove poter lasciare la macchina senza rischiare che i sopracitati pullman rischino di fare danno o passarci. In definitiva non lo consiglierei a persone che non sono abituate a guidare su strade strette di montagna.
