Het Duinhuisje

Nice and helpful owner, a little quiet hut in the back garden that has its own enclosed space and is in walking distance to the beach.

The house is small but has a lovely garden, which was perfect for my dog. Great location for long walks - the dunes are right behind the house.

I'd prefer to have a bed downstairs.

Do you remember long hot summers of your childhood holidaying in your grandfather’s cabin, sleeping upstairs, waking with the sun, brushing your teeth in the kitchen sink, picking wild blackberries and rosehips, spending all day in the sun with sand between your toes? You can recapture those days at Menno and Diana’s cabin “Het Duinhuisje” near Goederede. Your bed is up on the mezzanine floor above the sitting room. You can wake to the sounds of the farmyard next door – the roosters and geese and the donkey. It’s a 2 kilometre walk (or maybe bike ride) to the dunes, but you’re on holiday and in no hurry, and when you get there, the beach is miles of open sand and sea with no one else in sight except the passing boats, maybe an occasional bather or, if you’re lucky as we were on a quiet weekday morning, a sight of the wild horses that roam the scrubby grassland of the dunes. The cabin is rustic, with an old-time air, and the drawers and cupboard doors don’t quite fit or run smoothly, but there are plenty of pots and pans, a cooktop and microwave (grandad never had one of those) and a fridge, you can take all your meals on the picnic table in the garden if you want to, and sleep with the door open on a hot night. There are even books to read if the weather turns less than clement, and Menno and Diana will do everyting they can to help you enjoy every moment.

Leuk, knus huisje! De Kwade Hoek, de duinen en het strand van Ouddorp zijn heerlijk om te wandelen!

- Voor de toegang vanuit de tuin tot de duinen moest je een hek overklimmen via balkjes. Dat lukte niet met de hond. - We hoorden na het boeken dat we apart voor het gas moesten betalen.

Ligging, vriendelijkheid eigenaar.

Is wat gedateerd maar dat maakt het knus en gezellig. Eigenlijk niets negatiefs.

Prima uitvalsbasis voor strandwandelingen op Goeree-Overflakkee.

Direct vanaf het huisje loopt een privé pad naar het natuurgebied. Met een grote hond is het nieuw geplaatste hek wel een uitdaging. Er zijn treden gemaakt, maar de hond zul je moeten tillen… Hier kan de eigenaar niets aan doen, maar het is het vermelden waard. Verder ontbreekt een weids uitzicht. Het knusse huisje staat in een kleine tuin.

De rust in de omgeving was super, de gastvrouw/heer waren super leuk en hielpen je waar ze konden, niets was teveel erg aardige mensen, ook de lokatie was super. We hebben genoten!

Alleen de vide vond mijn vriend niet zo heel fijn, die was erg laag. Dat was wel een puntje misschien beneden een slaapbank neerzetten en dan de tassen boven neerzetten en misschien beneden een kast voor je kleding? De tassen stonden nu door heel de kamer verspreid. Het is een puntje misschien om naar te kijken…….??
