Great location, value of money, good breakfast selection, staff is very accommodating.

We had a wonderful stay at Cross Vibe Changmai. From the moment we checked in until we left the hotel, the staff were always friendly and attentive towards us. Check-in was efficient and no deposit was required, which is often standard practice in Thai hotels. Our room, No. 815, was a lovely, spacious room with a separate bedroom featuring a double bed. There was also a kitchenette with an electric hob and a kettle. Our room also had a balcony with a drying rack, which was handy for drying our own washed clothes. Our bathroom/toilet is very clean, spacious and neatly fitted out. The shower pressure is perfect. Just remember to press the on/off switch on the water heater first when showering to ensure you get hot water. The two air-conditioning units (bedroom and living room) are working perfectly! Room #815 is a corner room on the 8th floor, so we have a view on two sides of the hotel. The room is situated well away from the lift shaft, so we aren’t disturbed by the noise of people getting in and out with their suitcases. All in all, our room at the Cross Vibe Chiang Mai hotel is in a perfect location. Breakfast is served on the ground floor from 7.00 am to 10.00 am as a buffet. The breakfast includes a selection of Thai dishes and an American continental spread. Here too, the hotel staff are always friendly and attentive. The Cross Vibe Chiang Mai hotel also has a swimming pool for its guests, although personally I don’t find it particularly appealing – it’s just a simple rectangular shape. But that’s just my personal opinion. The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect! It’s just 750 metres away from the new Maya Mall and 40 metres from the nearest Thai massage parlour. There are more than three different restaurants and bars in the vicinity of the hotel, all within 150 metres, and there’s also a coffee shop opposite the hotel entrance. Overall, the Cross Vibe Chiang Mai Hotel is a lovely hotel with good facilities and attentive staff, but there are a number of areas that need some improvement to present the hotel in a much better light; 1) The Thai breakfast selection could do with being a bit more spicy, as the flavours generally come across as too bland. You’re in Thailand, and visitors here are quite used to Thai cuisine as it’s usually served in restaurants. The temperature of the dishes is also important – they really need to be hot, rather than lukewarm or, as is sometimes the case, even cold on the buffet. 2) Our room has a kitchenette but… no kitchen utensils such as pans, ladles, cutlery, plates, bowls, knives, etc. What’s the point of a room having a kitchenette if you can’t use it?! 3) There are no soap dispensers by the kitchen worktop or the washbasin in the bathroom. Please provide soap dispensers in these areas for hygiene reasons. Above issues are just our recommendation. We would be very delighted to recommend Cross Vibe Chiangmai hotel to anyone who would like to visit Chiangmai and staying in a fine hotel.

Hotel is not on a main road and opposite a weed shop, air con points directly o to bed so you can't have it on when sat on bed, room smelt damp, booked for 8 days left after 1.
