Hotel Termales del Ruiz

La comida, las instalaciones, el contacto con la naturaleza, la belleza de los paisajes y la amabilidad de los meseros, el personal de limpieza y en recepción.

No hay prioridad para el huésped en los recorridos. Fuimos en pareja y no logramos obtener un bebedero para tener la experiencia de tener contacto con el colibrí. Sin embargo, fuimos a recepción a solicitar uno y nos lo facilitaron. Pero si deberían cambiar este aspecto porque es difícil tener la experiencia completa sin las herramientas necesarias. También podrían ampliar un poco el tamaño de las habitaciones.

El sitio del hotel, la arquitectura y los termales son de muy buen nivel. Hotel recomendado

The food is amazing—everything was delicious and of excellent quality. The private pools are wonderful, both during the day and at night. You can relax by the pool and enjoy a drink while taking in the spectacular views. The gardens and pool areas are filled with beautiful birds and butterflies, creating a truly peaceful atmosphere. Best of all, the pools are never crowded. Whether you're traveling alone or with your partner, you can enjoy a quiet and intimate experience in these small private pools. Our room was quite small, but that wasn't an issue at all since we spent most of our time enjoying the pools and the restaurant and garden. The room was quiet, comfortable, and perfect for a good night's rest.

Since we don't speak Spanish, communication at the reception was a little challenging. We weren't able to get information about how long we would need to wait, which caused some uncertainty during our arrival.

The location is close to Nevado del Ruiz park. The mushroom sauce is pretty good. One waiter tried to give us options that fit our diets. Another added wood to the fire since we were cold. Accommodated us to have a first floor room. Thermal pools were available most of the time. Coffee was available in the morning.

Disappointed! We've been to Termales del Ruiz a number of times since 2016 and happy with our stay until this year. There was no welcome coffee. We were not provided with hummingbird hand feeders. The bird guides only conducted tours for people who are not birders and had limited knowledge. On the "tour" the guide had only 4 hand hummingbird feeders for 11 people. We were told to share... There were so many people few hummers came to hand feeders. Our room was cramped and had only 5 inches of space between the left side of the bed and the wall making it difficult to get in bed. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. The window in the bathroom doesn't close well/seal and lets cold air in. This was the same as last year and has yet to be fixed. The shower didn't shut off completely. Pools need to be cleaned and resealed since there are chunks of finish missing all over them. The food was very salty. It's better to let guests salt their own food to taste. Coffee is no longer available most of the day. We were given a 1/4 roll of toilet paper for 3 days. We had to find someone to open the gate each time we wanted to drive out. We are birders and have repeatedly gone to Temales del Ruiz for the uniqueness of service, expert guides and the hand held hummingbird feeders. We can go elsewhere for thermal baths and bird watching...
