Monte Los Lirios Lodge

A limpeza geral é impecável.

The hotel is in a quieter part of town. The owners are welcoming and attentive. They assisted in arranging a night tour and hanging bridges tour. The breakfasts were delicious.

The place has a family feel and the owners are lovely (and very artistic). The breakfast was nice.

The shower was cold, there was no window in our room, and the location was a little difficult as it was at the top of a very steep hill.

The room was very clean and breakfast was tasty. Breakfast order was given to the hosts the day before and came with a nice plate of fruit. Location was about a 5-7 minute walk to the downtown of Santa Elena, but that walk is a tough uphill on the way back.

Our biggest complaint is that we were put in a room with no window to the outside. We had one window, but that opened up to the living room. This gave us no control at all of the temperature of our room, as there is no air conditioning or even a fan. We often felt trapped and the room was hot and stuffy for us. We went over Christmas, and maybe it was just a hot few days. If the description of the room said we had no window to the outside, I would not have booked the room. I did see two other rooms that were nicer than ours and did have a window, so if we had one of those rooms, maybe my review would be higher. The tv didn’t turn on in our room and it was extremely difficult to get hot water in the shower, it was like cracking a safe with how you needed to move the handle. This was difficult to figure out, as the hosts speak no English.
