This property is an absolute gem! The hotel has been wonderfully created out of the former abbey/prison. The quality of design is exemplary.
The adjacent Michelin star restaurant is wonderful. It's not the least expensive meal that you'll ever have but its tasting menu challenges you in a good way snd the wine pairing was fabulous.
We hope to return and would highly recommend.
There was nothing that we didn't like although we were surprised that the rooms only had a fan snd not sir-conditioning.

Absolutely incredible. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, but this place was special. At night, the abbey and its grounds stay open until midnight for guests of the Hermitage. Exploring the huge spaces at night , with no other visitors is a unique experience. The food (dinner hamper from the restaurant and breakfast in the old chapel) was great too. Room is small but very modern and comfortable. Parking is available at one end of the grounds.

Lovely setting.
Ermits baskets were overpriced and not very nice.
The bedroom was stuffy and very hot and the fan was inefficient and just boxing warm air.
